I would rather run a glacier build as a SOLO tank and not as a FF build. Are the powers to choose much different? What would you suggest? Thanks!
Welcome to the NPW boards. I'll answer your question, but to make sure you understand the trade-offs, I've got to make sure we have a common understanding of what you mean by a solo tank. My understanding is you want a very survivable character for mission content, but doesn't have to care about having to support a team (or be supported by a team) as it'll be going alone, and won't be doing PvP (i.e. player vs. player duels). Here is a build optimised for that, based on my experience as a Glacier Archetype, but also as a Freeform player who experimented with different powers, and also knowing the current "meta" conditions:

I'll briefly explain the trade-offs for this build of the Glacier Archetype.
I took away the threat-generating Advantages; you won't need them in solo mission play, so I added in more DPS instead. They're important for drawing threat for a team and for PvP. Should you decide to change your mind and focus on doing team-based things (such as Alerts) and PvP, the solution is simple; replace Rank 2 on Ice Blast with Crippling Challenge (you may have to pay lots of G at level 40 to go back and change that retroactively at the Powerhouse) and Challenging Strikes on Avalanche (an easy fix as you get that power at level 40).
One trade-off I made was in the Knockback/Holding resistance in the Specializations (that's all those points at the bottom of the chart). For a Tank, Glaciers are very vulnerable to Knockback/Holding regardless (as compared to a Behemoth, the other free Tank Archetype). IMHO, after experimenting, there's really no point for a Glacier to rank those up, as the benefits are so small as to be irrelevant. Simply Blocking is the best defense and taking Flight; you'll be knocked into the sky. The biggest fear of Knockback for you is if you are hit into another mob, and simply Flying prevents that from happening (unless you were very unlucky). Thus, I just put those Specialization points into more Health Points.
(I reviewed this build based on the request for a solo tank build, but tbh, this really is pretty solid except for the aforementioned lack of Crippling Challenge on Ice Blast and Challenging Strikes on Avalanche.)
