Hello all!
This appears to be a place for introductions. So here I am.
I am speedknob, have been playing since launch. I am not a serious number cruncher so I avoid questions about percentages and such, but I do know where things are and how many things work, and i have toons of all levels - so feel free to hit me up in game if you need help.

Looks like my original intro went over like a fart in a funeral . . . ;D (Thank you, stuffinator, for noticing!)
Anyhoo - I may have ruffled some feathers over at the official forum. I lost patience and made my longest and most negative rant to date - so you may be seeing a lot more of me here.

Yeah dude, it hurts to read posts of yours that are in that tone. I've only read a few before, but man, things are getting grim out there.
And I've started to see a new wave of... moderation.

Yeah we read your post there It was a good one. I agree. It also makes me sad, to read it. Speed reallyhas been one of the more ardent supporters of Cryptic (I would never say "fanboi" or "cheerleader", though - just "optimistic fan"). To see a post from him that is so ... dissatisfied, and pessimistic about CO's future? Damn.

It hurt me too, bro. Like I said in my 'things that grind my gears' - I hate when I get that way . . . but feel that it needed to be said. Not just said from the typical dissenter, but from someone who should have a reputation for loving the game. It was not meant as a hate letter . . . but a wake up call. I can say, but won't go into detail, that I know they are listening. It was read, and may be getting through, but I don't know if it will penetrate the right mind.

I hope so. I seem to be the last man standing over there, but yeah I've had my times where I felt like you do now about the game.
I hope Cryptic takes posts like yours to heart, and after that discussion, I do think it would be a good idea for a do-over of the Q&A and come straight with it.
I feel bad for them because it's like they're trying to navigate a minefield on an elephant, but also feel bad for the players because no one's getting anything.

I know what you're saying, and that's a good way of putting it. I don't like being negative, but they need a fire under their butts. I fear they may have the drive but not the backing from Atari - I really don't know. But I am getting a sense of stagnation, and find it worrisome. And the way they threw that Monty Python thing in there 'ground my gears' . . . "Sorry son, your dog ran away and we can't find him - but pull my finger!"

Sooooo, anything planned for this weekend? hehe, ok - sorry. It's very rainy, and rain brings pain, so I'll probably spend a lot of time in the dark with my strat. Ever since I ponied up and bought a les paul, I can't get enough of my strat . . .
