I don't see a problem with it. I don't think I should have to wait until level 40 before my class is good. It's a shame they put Reaper's Embrace so far into the path.
As for Reaper's Scythe. The bleed never gets a chance to run its course because mobs don't live for 10+ seconds - they end up dying much sooner. A lot of the time to my friend's Rain of Arrows, because it pretty much instantly kills everything whereas Reaper's Scythe just puts a small dent in their HP.

The Blade AT isn't quite as fast at killing trash mobs as some of the other ATs, but the one area we really shine at is single target boss killing. When I team up with people from my SG, the rest of my team generally kills most of the mobs in our way while I clean up a few on the sides. It's when we get to the boss that I can really let loose. When it comes to open missions, I can even beat out freeform heroes.
Yes, the fact that Reaper's Embrace is at 40 is rather lame, but it's well worth the wait. The damage you get from stacking/rupturing bleeds is crazy.
I see it this way: you actually have a very solid team going with your Archery friend. Your friend is the one that's going to be mopping up the trash mobs, while you are the one that's going to be the boss killer. Early on you might not need much damage on bosses to kill them, but when you run lairs and APs, your single target damage specialization is really going to shine. Alternate stacking bleeds and rupturing them and watch that boss fold like a piece of paper.
Because of that, my opinion is that The Blade is one of the more solid ATs available. It's a bit rough early on, but gets much better as you get higher.

If you play on elite you really won't kill mobs in 1 hit were MV's have near 10k hp:) And sorry if I get you wrong, wait till 40? So cause a MM has a better mobber blades are weak? Orange/apples Edit: lantesh said it all pretty much

Because all the blades skills rely on bleeds, and everyone says how blades get good at level 40 due to Reaper's Embrace. It just seem that it's only good when it gets that one skill, which Cryptic thought would be a good idea to put at the maximum level -_-

You can still stack up the bleeds and let them run their course without Embrace. Keep them stacked up to 5 while refreshing them and toss in a few Dragon's Bites here and there and your damage will be fine. If you get into a group with another person who can stack bleeds, the both of you can each put a stack of 5. I've seen some bosses during BM have like 20 stacks on them. That's still significant damage even without the ruptures. You can be perfectly viable while waiting to get Embrace.

Okay, thanks. I'm level 18 at the moment, hopefully there'll be more challenging enemies in the near future so I get a chance to stack bleeds.

Ah yeah, down at that level there isn't too much challenge yet. Once you start getting into the mid 20s, things will start ramping up a bit. You get your first lair, Dr. Destroyer's Lab, around that time too. You should start to see a difference around then.

As if bleeds are the only thing to go for @ blades?0o
You get
1. A form, which means your dps will fly up by more than 50% 2. Dragon bite, which can crit up to 4-5k+ with the right gear 3. Either the best active def, or an amazing knockup

Just so everyone knows, A BLADE CAN KICK MAJOR BUTT IN PVP!
i just got out of a PvP match where to 2 Behemoths on the other team accused me of hacking and/or being a freeform in an AT only match. It was 2v1 and i was still winning until an inferno showed up and got focused down 12 times. And that was without using TP to run away constantly. i did use Acro to back up for the stun on thunderbolt lunge and to get out of roomsweeper range.
So for the record, stack some dodge and use parry w/ elusive monk advantage + smart blocking/ tactical repositioning and you can survive long enough to stack/rupture bleeds on tanks

I have a lvl 40 Blade, and i must say it rocks! You will only need the right itens and the some skill to deal with other ats, to destroy. Although, like every at, the achiles heel of the blade is the glacier! experience glaciers will be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery hard to beat! About the hacking accusation, just dont bother. there will be always retarded noobs in every online games, that cant stand losing a match. Normally frustated kids. i had this problem recently and just reported to the gms.

Whoops, I upgraded my Energy-building attack a couple times... Is there a way for silver members to do a reset?

Whoops, I upgraded my Energy-building attack a couple times... Is there a way for silver members to do a reset? Absolutely! It's called a "retcon" - just head over to your local Powerhouse and remove the powers you don't want! It's good to note, though, that you have to remove them in the order that you got them, so if you upgraded your Energy Builder at the very beginning, then you'll have quite a few powers to remove (depending on what level you are).
