Yeah, and I'm not entirely sure why. I didn't see what Pax put down but I got hit for something I didn't do. I've put in two tickets.
Now I'm wondering if discussing moderator action outside the boards will get me a permaban stick.
Either way, this is some serious bull*censored*.

Yep. For "Posting private information". 10 points, skyrocketing me all the way to 15 - and a 14-day suspension.
I kind of expected it, though. I did (*gasp*) admit that I had received a Warning. (For 0 points, six months ago.) And then suggested that the reason cited was incorrect.
Feh. There are days I wish I could figure out grounds on which to demand a refund for my LTS, still.

Yeah dude this sucks. I didn't read anything you wrote that would get you banned. And Pax didn't seem to be putting anything bad in there either, but I didn't see his last post.

At least you CAN put in tickets. I've reset my bleeding password at the Atari support site twice, now. It still says "Sorry, unrecognized username or password." I didn't see his last post. I asked Wishstone to look at the last entry in my "latest infractions" list. Then pointed out that the reason given for it ("real-life threats") was incorrect, and based on a CM's misunderstanding of an internet meme ("die in a fire" - strongly worded, worth being called "flaming" perhaps, but in no way a threat to do real harm in real life.) So, that got smacked with the "private correspondence" stick, which is apparently used to cover "discussing moderation". Even when a Dev starts the discussion, apparently. |

You both deserve better. I don't always agree with the two of you but this was uncalled for.
Welcome to the Other Boards... I think most of my correspondence from now on will be here since the devs never reply to anything I say with anything of merit anyway.

Damn, that's messed up. I can see people stop posting over there due to being afraid to post *censored*. Especially at the number of infractions you already have.

The funny thing is, I posted that in direct response to something Wishstone said about Moderation & Enforcement.
Which makes my ban, feel an awful lot like entrapment.

all I post is stupid *censored*. Stupid *censored* of exceptional quality though  Though if stupidity of posts becomes a banning offence, I can think of a couple of other posters whose names start with "S" feeling the ban-hammer far sooner. And it would even be a good day ;D |

Your PW is messed up, and you can't log in to post a "ticket".
So you post on the forums this, while requesting a former ban be lifted.
And THIS is what got you the 10 points/14 day suspension?

Ah, the joys of overzealous moderators. We don't seem to have that problem here. FWIW, welcome to our little (less strict) corner of the net. Beware the basement. People do strange and inhumane experiments down there on some days. Just ignore the screams at night. |
