So, let me get this straight? Your PW is messed up, and you can't log in to post a "ticket". So you post on the forums this, while requesting a former ban be lifted. And THIS is what got you the 10 points/14 day suspension? No, no, no. The ban was ... Okay, wait; let me elaborate significantly. Ther'es some backstory to it, you see. In mid-November of 2010, LAFURY made a post in which were a few suggestions that would have silenced Lifetimers on the forums, making them LESS-welcome than Silvers. I said, in response to that: "Die. In. A. Fire." Twice, actually. ... and this caused me to get a warning, for 0 points, under the heading of "Real-life threats". Not that I actually threatened to burn him in real life, mind you. Well. Fast forward to today. I told Wishstone that, yes, sometimes infractions were given under rules which _didn't_ fit what actually was posted. I told him to look at the top infraction in my list (and gave the date), and explained that while it would certainly have been entirely appropriate to Warn me for _flaming_, that was not the reason given. And for this, I got 10 points. And a 14-day suspension. For replying, 100% on-topic, to a developer's comments. Go figure. ... You know what's REALLY ironic? Stormshade has subsequently posted this: Which means if we have hard and fast rules like this, then we cross into Draconian Moderation Practices, which I don't think anyone wants. ... just before closing the thread, which of course wasn't to stop Cryptic from being painted in a negative light, oh no that would be unthinkable! Feh. I've seen this before. Jackboots have been issued, and the swastika flags are flyin' proudly from Cryptic's towers, as of ... well, yesterday, I guess. EDIT again: Found out that your entire Email inbox from CO, gets echo'd over to Atari's support site. Joy and rapture. Still, I have the entire text that got me banned, courtesy of the PM sent ot me by Tiyshen: "And don't tell me warnings and infraction points are never given when not warranted. Look at my own account. Look at the top listing in the "latest infractions received" list, the one dated 11-17-2010. It cites "real-life threats", when I never posted any such thing. Rather, the CM misunderstood the use of an internet meme.
If that were to happen today, it wouldn't be a 0-point warning. It would be a 20-point infraction, and a permanent ban.
And let me repeat: I never made any threats, real-life or otherwise, in the post in question. But I still did get a warning for doing so."

I love Stormshade's last post in that thread... right before he closed it so no one could reply to it.
He game an example of calling someone a name and putting a little smiley by it so that people would know its a joke and that he didn't want to give infractions for something like that when earlier in the thread, I got an infraction for that very thing... BY STORMSHADE. Hypocrite much, Stormy?

So it looks like the clamp down is because they are going to open up the boards to silvers.

1) @pax: Wishstone is a "she" named Gesine... can't remember her last name... was a boring one. 2) @pax: I got a 0 point infraction a long time ago from Stormshade for telling LAFURY, who had called me a hypocrite based on my posting history, that I wasn't the one with a history full of posts edited by moderators for rule violations. Stormshade never replied to my dispute that if I am not alowed to defend myself when insulted, then moderators must do so for me and remove the insult - in this case the "melkathi you are a hypocrite". Silly thing: LAFURY totaly agrees with me. (we are hanging out in game as he's a nice guy actually) I remember the Die.In.A.Fire posts though 2) galeforceI read Stormy's last post twice now I especialy liked the bit: "I'd ask that you please not color us with experiences you have not had with us."

So it looks like the clamp down is because they are going to open up the boards to silvers. I'll believe that when I see it. Personally, while I'd love to be able to post there if I NEEDED to, if the mods think they have problems now.......it really could open up a feces funnel cloud.

@pax
Did you send any PMs to a moderator? Because that's not allowed under the new rules. Perhaps that's one of the reason for the banstick?

Sorry folks, but these forums are meant to discuss the game Champions Online, not its forums or their moderation. And this specific board that you posted this thread on is meant for introductions, not other topics. Thanks,
