Ooh. Guess I need to reinstall soon. Is the UNTIL shuttle new? I don't see it in XS' guide and he's always on top of all things vehicles.

Yeah, it's a new Vehicle. Very excited for this.

It's a piece of mk I trash, they're giving it away; and it's awful looking. The AV-57 on the other hand, best looking ride yet!

I shall use this vehicle stuffed with speed mods. Transportation only. It kinda fits my UN character. But to invest anything more into it? Nooope. The Steel Crusade looks very promising if you ignore this upcoming trainwreck with the new AT. I still can't make my mind if I'll bother with leveling it to 40, or not... On the other hand, it's only three powers and the AT seriously looks rubbish to play. But, also, it's new tech powers. Dunno.

Hopefully they will realise their mistake and it will be the first and the last time.
This update looks very promising on its own, but of course they had to spoil it with such dumb idea.
Epic AT.
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Seems more like an epic proof devs don't understand their own powers system.
...
I. Don't. Even...
Nor sure if they realised how this logic is outperformed even by Concentrations+Targeting Computer combo on entirely non-epic free AT.
I swear. Every time when I promise myself to cut on negativity, Cryptic does something like that...

Wait. They're making freeform players level up an AT before they get access to the powers? So you have to play an AT that you don't like to be able to use those powers on the freeform character that you do like?
That uh...uh. Well then. I wish them luck on that endeavor.

They also did manage to put together the worst AT ever. And that's probably their new system for introducing powers in the future. ... Weeeelll, at least it makes the Impulse AT players feel better, right? Now I'm kida torn. Do I really need two new powers (AoTM is a crap anyway) so badly that I either level this pile of poo to 40 or I'll give Craptic any money for retrain tokens? Dunno. Not like they deserve any Zen bought for this idea.

Hmm. I think I'll hold off on reinstalling then. Since I already have the cyborg beast costume from waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, the shuttle looks like junk (I already have a Widow anyway), and the new AT looks far from impressive, I think I'll just wait for y'all to report back on the new missions to see if they're any fun.

Now, now, don't get me wrong. I'm picking on the AT idea because it's a very stupid one. But missions themselves are nice. The update is OK. It's just this one AT thing.

Fair enough. I don't really keep up with CO much these days, so I typically go by whatever you guys say about it.

Hey Lantesh, re-install for the Vehicle this weekend unless it's a lot of trouble for you. Get that in your bank first, then decide if you like the rest.
I was playing this new Reawakened Automaton AT. Of the free ATs, I find it one of the more interesting ones, at least for the early game. It's only because of Rocket Punch, though. What I like about it is that it is a different playing style. It's very measured, you're calculating if you want to full-charge all your shots, and you're considering the layout of your targets, their health, and the terrain.
The AT is available only after you have leveled something to level 40 already, and there's actually a game-play reason why. If you played through already and sort of know the layout of all those things, you can be very efficient. But having played with Freeforms, I anticipate some problems in the later levels. This is like an early game badass, but I think Soldier AT pants it after mid-levels.

I think Cryptic just misunderstood when players asked about a more challenge. The Reawakened ATs system seems like an idea lifted from other games, like "play the game again on a higher diffculty level to unlock something". Except CO equivalent. That's the most plausible explanation because I really don't think the devs were all deaf and blind to the point of unintentionally missing all the feedback and keep the AT built like it is. So it actually makes sense to design the AT that way - it's made to be more difficult to level (albeit I question this difficulty, on a normal difficulty level CO NPCs are mostly harmless and the only thing this AT achieves is to make it more tedious, but it's hardly more difficult) and not really made to keep it at lvl 40. Where Cryptic missed the meme is that people asked for a challenge for their existing toons, or precisely for FFs. That's kinda the point of min-max way of playing FFs, to tweak the hell out of your toon and see how far you can push it. And that's the deep flaw with this very idea and, I think. Now, introducing new powers and tossing some theme-oriented ATs for silvers so they may play with these powers as well? It might work. As long as power unlocks are handled in a different way. Story arc completion, kill perks, pretty much every possible method of unlocking is better. Like - you need a lvl 40 character to unlock the perk and then you have to do something more with this character to complete this perk. +edit: But I really wonder if I'm the only person who thinks AoTM is not a completely useless power?
