The big question is it worth to level said AT to unlock theses powers? I'm in no mood to grind another toon to 40 ... maybe someday

I think I'm going to skip leveling the AT. I don't have any freeforms to unlock the powers on, so I don't think it's going to do me any good. I did pick up the free shuttle though.

The big question is it worth to level said AT to unlock theses powers? I'm in no mood to grind another toon to 40 ... maybe someday No, it's probably not: Rocket Punch - looks cool, but is essentially a weaker Force Cascade Binding Shot - it IS Bola Shot, but re-skinned into something I much prefer Aspect of the Machine - a deeply flawed toggle. It buffs both melee and ranged damage, IIRC the only toggle that does that, but it only stacks on kills. For solo-play, it's pretty mediocre as it's hard to keep the stacks up (stacks expire faster than you can find things to kill). For Alerts-play, which is most of what we do nowadays, it's even worse. Despite its flaws, and it really does seem to have been thrown by someone totally inexperienced at designing characters, it's one of the ATs I'm more comfortable taking into the Gravitar and Fire & Ice Rampges (the other is my Void and maybe my Soldier). I think it does have a purpose as Survivable Ranged DPS + Debuffer.

If you don't mind different graphic FX you can roll with Bolas instead. Rocket Punch is actually pretty strong for its tier. It's T1 so pretty easy to put in different builds. Now, question is if you need charged cylinder blast attack. AoTM is a mixed bag. It's worth taking only if you intend to rank it. Otherwise it's impossible to stack Frenzy on bosses or in PvP. So if you aren't really desperate for powers, then probably it's not worth it. But then, if you have some spare Zen from stipend you can retrain any lvl 40 to this AT, log into CO as lvl 40 Automaton, wait for unlocking powers... And then retrain back to your old powerset. I was just curious how this AT plays, so yesterday after: (should be more like 1d 10h substracting overall time spent on RP, though) I finally brought Binary to lvl 40. If you're a Silver player with no FF slots? Well, it's a free AT, after all. Not the best one, but not very hard to level and it has some basic utility.

It's a double XP weekend, you could give it a good start. Yeah, and theses birthdays XP boosts help a lot too but i do have others 4 toons between 23-26 to keep leveling No, it's probably not: Rocket Punch - looks cool, but is essentially a weaker Force Cascade Binding Shot - it IS Bola Shot, but re-skinned into something I much prefer Aspect of the Machine - a deeply flawed toggle. It's worth taking only f you intend to rank it. Otherwise it's impossible to stack Frenzy on bosses or in PvP. The only power that I found interesting was the Binding Shot, however single target CC I consider more a pvp tool that other thing (I never pvp so) and even thematically think Bolas a lot easier to fit. Rocket Punch: this is one of those powers that even though I think cool and put rank 3, I know I'll never use it because charged and knockback powers are no longer viable in my gameplay anymore Click and maintains are what make this game nowaday. Aspect of the Machine: lol ... really?! 'm going by what you guys told me Maybe. Depends how badly you need them. So if you aren't really desperate for powers, then probably it's not worth it. Maybe if in need I'll do the retrain thing, since I have fews toons parked in powerhouse.
