I'm so ready for this. There's also a ton more stuff coming that isn't listed on the site. Things like an all new character creator and of course Klingon content! Well the Klingon part is implied since it says you can now make a Klingon from level 1 instead of 20. Huzzah! Naturally there's people whining and complaining on the forums about how lame this is. My only reaction to these people: Not even worth a facepalm. In any case, Department S and the House of S.E.C.R.E.T.S. will be ready for this. We will be forming a new fleet for the Romulan side as well. Everyone is welcome to come and join us as we prepare for the madness. See you in space. Qapla' Jolan Tru.

I'll be there, though I need to get my 1st Klingon to 50 before this. I hate being in the middle of leveling...and then a revamp comes through. As to people complaining...

I'm going to laugh if the "leveling a klingon from 1 to 50 now" just resets the existing stuff they've got at level one like it used to be before they decided to bump it up 20.
In general though, this sounds like it's gonna be fun. Glad I kept that spare open character slot so I can try out a Romulan or Reman.
Also, does this mean T'Bewbs gets to take some time off from appearing on the STO splash page? Maybe she can go vacationing with Phaser Dude on Risa... ;D

Please, her proper name is T'its. And yeah, she's probably going to be replaced by the Romulan chick on the teaser site. I noticed that her chest is more normal. I think Cryptic had enough teasing over poor T'its.

There's so much different from the last time I actually played, I might have to start a new character just to get the hang of things again! My main, Barek, had his space tray abilities vanish from the hotbar and reappear several times on zone when I logged in a couple of days ago, that made me want to not play. I didn't log into any other characters to see if it happened on them though. Let's see, I've got all 3 classes to 50 in Starfleet and I'm only missing an Engineer for the KDF to make it a complete set. Guess I could start playing her again. I've got 8 characters and still have 3 slots free for the Romulans.

Trouble with Tribbles - Final scene. Between the lines - Capt. Kirk: Well, where did you transport them? And... Capt. Kirk: Scott, you didn't transport them into space, did you? That IS what we were supposed to do with that image, right? It's to check our Trek memory. How did I do?

"There's always room for F2P MMOs." - my wallet But does your Hard Drive agree? It doesn't have a say in the matter. It puts the games in it's space or it gets the formatting again.

Ask Cryptic is up. Dan even answered one of my questions, huzzah! sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=852601It's long so here's a few major points. -Romulans are their own faction. However instead of having their own fleets and Starbases, they get a choice to join up with either the Feds or the KDF. They are still their own faction with their own unique story line, it's just that they can join up with any existing fleets rather than having to start over. -Romulans will be playing as members of the Romulan Republic and not as members of the Romulan Star Empire. -Romulan Warbirds are a new class of ship all to themselves that do not follow the classic guidelines of Escort, Science, or Cruiser. They have some undisclosed differences. -At launch you can play as a Romulan. Remans will be unlocked in the reputation system or bought in the C-Store. Aliens will be sub/lifetime exclusive. -Romulans can share their story missions with any Feds or KDF who join their party. These unique mission cannot be accessed by Feds or KDF without a Romulan player present in the party. -Players will be getting a free character slot in order to play a Romulan. How this slot will be given or acquired is still up for discussion. -Tholian reputation system coming. It will have new trait unlocks and unique Tholian flavored weaponry and gear coming. -The new enemy of the game will not be revealed until closer to launch or possibly not until we get in game and find them for ourselves. -Small fleets will be getting some help with fleet Starbase projects in some form. More info will be released closer to launch. There's a bit more in there, but those are the highlights I think. A good deal of people are freaking out over the whole "Rommies joining Fed/KDF" thing, but personally I think it's a good idea. I was not looking forward to building yet ANOTHER [censored] base. Now I know that any Rommies I make can contribute and continue building the bases we already have. So for me this is fantastic. Also any Rommies any of you make can come help build our base join us in the fight. .....what? Edit: Massive follow up post from Dan The Man himself. sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=8897471&postcount=157I haven't always agreed with some of the decisions he's made in the past, but I would say he's redeeming himself very well. In my eyes, at least. Edit 2: What the...I forgot the most important point of all. The Legacy of Romulus expansion is completely FREE. No Vibora Pay scandals here.

So essentially the Romulans are pulling a Pandaren maneuver? Interesting.
I never thought I'd see the day where Rommies and Klingons would be working together, willingly. This new shadowy enemy they're talking about must be the harbingers of the space apocalypse if it's getting those two groups to cooperate.
