Ah well, that just about clinches me buying SWTOR tonight then Don't worry, it won't replace CO. Way different game. Highly, highly recommend it -amazing game. But people who love what they get from CO will keep playing CO even if not full time. Don't YOU worry, it won't replace CO I'm really not that keen on it (even though most of my old guildies keep harping endlessly on it) and was thinking of waiting until after X-mas to get it. But with CO down, I might as well grab it and see what all the hubbub is about

Other than that, the game is pretty nice for a vacation from CO, with pretty engaging missions, really nice scenery and captivating cinematics. And apparently there are some appearance customization options futher along once you manage to find "orange" gear, but I haven't played far enough into the game to find many of it yet. The way orange gear works is pretty interesting, because it not only allows for appearance customization, but also adding enhancements as well.

Well, seems the digital download is sold out in my local on-line Origins store... WTF? So I guess I won't be swinging my light sabre tonight after all. Ah well, I'll go get yet another arrow to my knee then... My poor old arrow-infested knees...

Plan for an overnight download and after that's done allow for 2 disk defragmentations if you're not using a SSHD so - don't plan to be running the same evening you purchase O.o

Plan for an overnight download and after that's done allow for 2 disk defragmentations if you're not using a SSHD so - don't plan to be running the same evening you purchase O.o Well, seeing as I can't download it (really, WTF is up with digital downloads "temporarily out of stock"? How hard can it be to generate new codes?), I'll probably pick up a box tomorrow instead. Other than that, I'm on a 100 mbps connection AND I have a SSD, so I'd be fine with either option. Not that I think I'd saturate my connection, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to download.

It's a 24.5 Gig download... At my connection speed, if their servers weren't getting hammered and allowed me to download at full speed, it would take a little over an hour. Disc defrag is a non-issue, my PC auto-defrags each HDD every night while I sleep. Now for what Stjobe said...Digital download out of stock? ROFL just doesn't quite describe what I feel reading something like that.

No joy from where I am (which is the EU). On the other hand, it just stopped working a few hours ago for me. And Kenpo, I imagine they're out of account keys. Still, quite the WTF moment...

And Kenpo, I imagine they're out of account keys. Still, quite the WTF moment... I would imagine it's another way to control the incoming rush by spreading the number of incoming players over a few days. They did have over a million (or was it 2?) pre-orders, so imagine the number of orders Only thing that could make sense it's an artificial way to keep the launch smooth. *shrugs*
