There's been rumblings how Archetypes are not entirely well-built for Solo'ing. There's also no doubt that the F2P is a great chance to hook friends. Both of these are great reasons to try out Teaming, Sidekicking, and any number of other features designed around it!
The problem is, I have no idea how it works. Not a one. The in game explanation is both brief and unhelpful, and the Wiki seems to regard teaming as non-existent. Surely someone has some clue how it works!
I've only done some small bit of Teaming, a Dynamic Duo, and a Fantastic Foursome. It seems I get less Resources for killing things than I would normally, but am unsure about how experience gets shared/split/doled out. I'm also unsure on how Missions or Mission sharing will work.
Really there's just no information on what should be a rather important subject! All I can find are complaints from back during the first month or two of launch. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips that can be given.
I plan to stick with the Duo and Foursome through the Hero's lifetime. Will that be detrimental, will that be beneficial? Is it worth it to share a mission, do it, have your teammate take it and share it back for more experience? Is that even possible? How does share even work! So many questions!
Hopefully someone has some answers, or has access to the main forums and can throw a proper question their way.

Not sure on resources as I never pay attention (resources are nearly useless for how I play the game) but for XP you get a bonus for teaming and it's an excalating bonus. The bigger the team the higher the percentage bonus to XP. I believe it caps a little over 30% extra XP for a team of 5. It's absolutely worth it to do a mission, then do it again as a shared/crossover mission. The first time you do it (when the mission is your mission) you get full XP. The next you do it (as a grey crossover mission shared from a friend) you get another 60% of the full XP for that mission. You can also do it the other way around getting 60% XP first for doing as a shared mission and then getting the full XP on top of that when you actually get the mission for yourself.

You also kill stuff faster and complete missions in less time thus getting bonus XP, more often, plus the completion bonus.

Doesn't the game split your XP games the larger your team is? The bonus is largely to take the edge off that loss. Most games handle it that way these days.

I haven't done the official math in a couple of patches now but when I did there was a net gain of XP for teaming. Even now I outlevel missions to a far greater degree running with teams than I do soloing.

Even now I outlevel missions to a far greater degree running with teams than I do soloing. I'd be both surprised and impressed if that were the case. Most games don't handle it that way. The only slowdown that comes to mind with teaming, aside from making sure everyone's on the same page, is collection quests. It's been a long time since I teamed, but I recall enemy-drop quests not dropping each item for the whole team. Just for a person. I do enjoy a good team, though.

Last I heard, and if this changed that'd be great news, the Bonus to XP only kicked in at 3 and 5. If so how does that affect Duo'ing or the like?
Also, as far as it seems, unlike some other games that shall not be named, Perks do not count for the whole team? You have to be the person to finish off 100 <Insert Enemy Here> in order to get the appropriate Perk for it?
Either way, thank you all for your help, I feel slightly better about teaming. Though It still seems a tad vague in general. There's just not a lot of information out there to be used, a real shame for an MMO. Though, oddly, I do prefer Solo'ing, but I like knowing what I'm getting into with Teaming.
