Forgive me if this is in the wrong area, as I didn't believe it to really fit in the "Bugs and Technical Issues". It's not technically an issue, really. Just curiosity. I thought it better to ask here first.
Essentially, I cannot find any information on how to properly run my graphics card at optimal settings(assuming that I'm not doing so already). Power supply isn't an issue - I've already verified that much.
I have a few questions, and am seeking advice, answers, and any possible information.
First, some background information:
Computer - Alienware Area 51 ALX - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Processor - Intel Core i7 CPU X980 @ 3.33GHz, 334 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processors
12.00 GB RAM
First: I've probably misunderstood something I've read... But I'll hazard asking anyways. My video card is a single ATI Radeon HD 5970 with Dual-GPU(both 1.00 GB GDDR5 Memory). Now, I've heard tale of it being possible to run -both- GPUs at once for a major boost in performance.. Yet I can't find any information at all on it. Honestly. I've been searching for five months now.

More Information: In Catalyst Control Center, I am able to select both GPUs in Overdrive. However, it always shows the second as being inactive. This is the source of my question.
Question 1: Is it possible to run both GPUs at once? And if so, how is that done?
Second: Currently, I am capable of playing Champions Online at maximum settings, save for Anti-Aliasing (which has to be kept off) - running at a reasonable framerate of 38-60 fps in Open Zones[depending on number of players and fx going. Large Dueling Crowds in the Ren Center tend to drop it to the 38 area.] and 70-100 in instanced missions[again, depending on what kind and how many fx are going]. Enabling any sort of Anti-Aliasing -severely- cuts FPS. When on 16x, as much as 50-60%.
Question 2: This technically ties in with Question 1... but it there anything I can do to ease the cut caused by Anti-Aliasing?[/center]
Those are the two main questions I have at the moment. If a DXDiag file is needed for more information to aid in answering these questions, just tell me. I'll find some way to post one.
