Ok I've started a concept alt and have been playing a bit with the possible build in the PTS but while I'm having blast with I'm kinda struggling and could use some help from the build genius' here.
The character is 'Y Ddraig Goch' (welsh for 'The Red Dragon') and he's meant to be a MASSIVE dragon (I know you're all shocked about that). The concept needs the following: Super-magnifier Mostly Fire Attacks - Fire Breath is a given. Claws Attack - at least one (shame fury of the dragon won't be available but Dragon's Claws or Read & Tear should fit) Survivabilty (High CON, ideally SS'd) - ideally able to tank/off-tank No shield power - blocking yes, shield no. Travel powers will be flight(or fire flight) and Superjump.
I'd really like to fit Defiance & Enrage to get the growth effect. Howl would also make an excellent thematic fit as I want fear generation.
Now I've seen some dragon builds on the CO forums but they mostly ended up Martial Arts, it really if mostly fire based I'm after.
Now I'm had some success with SS PRE & CON but I've been short on potential INT, REC, END gear for him in the PTS so it's been a little nerfed so I was looking for a few suggestions if anyone had them.
I'd post a ChampionBuilder setup but it's changed twice again while writing this.
Anyway - leaping around as a giant dragon if seriously good fun so now I just need to make him a viable powerhouse.

Havoc Stomp should look good thematically, has Enrage (chance if charged 50%+), and has an ad that applies Fear to kb targets. Venomous Breath and Bite from Infernal are too thematic options.
Check out how Retaliation looks, it works well with both Havoc Stomp and Pyre.

For Claw attack:
I've been using claw attacks a lot lately, and I love them!
Beastial's Frenzy is great - low cost, high damage, close AoE. The Single claw starter (non-energy builder) for Beastial is also high damage and combos for cool visual FX. Also the beastial framework lets you use your own claws, not a wolverine-style attachment.
Bite is also high-damage, but looks like you're not going to be using bleeds.

Super Magnifier:
Of course, you shrink down to fight - but the magnifier is cool - I suggest you get only the limited one.
I've used both the Magnifier and the Shrinker - my faerie keeps small all the time and grows to fight. Cool.
Titan used his magnifier but had to shrink to fight. Not cool.
Titan's temp magnifier lasted a lot longer then he did because it was only good for standing around - you block your own view everywhere you go.
Ariella on the other hand, has no handicap with the infinite shrink, so it works a lot more functional as a constant for social (bank/dueling circle/crafting inside the cauldron) outfit.
Anyway, I had great fun collecting screenshots of Titan being all huge, but never went thru half of the time the temp gives you - so cool to have, but think about the temp magnifier.

Cheers both! Sooo forgot about Bestial Supernatural powers and it's radically changed my plan.
Prince Mordred I get what your saying about the Supermagnifier but I'll probably get the infinate one because of RP potential there to posing around, not fit through doors, accidently sit on people etc.
Very Rough outline for Level 40 Dragon (Bestial/Fire Tank)
Still got 14 Adv Points to spend as I've not added Challenging Strike or Ranks to powers yet - I'll want to try them out in the PTS and work on which I'm most likely to use/spam (best guess is Fireball, Frenzy, Havoc Stomp & Pyre). Definitely gone tanking on this build. Can I squeeze any more Enrage or Fear here?!? ;D
Superstats: Level 6: Super Constitution Level 13: Super Strength
Powers: Level 1: Bestial Fury Level 1: Frenzy -- Fear Sense Level 6: Bite Level 6: Flight / Fire Flight Level 8: Defiance -- Rank 2, Rank 3 Level 11: Retaliation -- Rank 2, Rank 3 Level 14: Fire Breath Level 17: Enrage -- Rank 2, Rank 3, Giant Growth Level 20: Howl -- Make Them Tremble Level 23: Pyre Level 26: Fireball Level 29: Havoc Stomp -- Cry Havoc Level 32: Resurgence -- Evanescent Emergence Level 35: Thermal Reverberation Level 35: Superjump Level 38: Fire Strike -- Crippling Challenge
Talents: Level 1: The Behemoth Level 6: Physical Conditioning Level 9: Shrug It Off Level 12: Quick Recovery Level 15: Relentless Level 18: Impressive Physique Level 21: Lasting Impression
I'll probably take add the Unstable Accelerant adv on Fireball. I went with Str SS as the Melee attacks will probably be the main ones keeping the Fire ones for range and flavour.
Going to use free yellow & blue PTS gear to get SS's to 200+, raise PRE to over 100, probably REC to about the same and boost END as far as I can with what's left. Thinking about it I'll likely remove PRE from the stats (just keep it on Protector Build) and boost via gear so I can pop to Avenger/Brawler and maintain Threat.

I REALLY like the red dragon concept! I brought you some more opinions... 1. I would replace Bestial Fury with Throw Fire for the energy builder because: 1) Ranged energy builders are much nicer than close range. 2) Fuel my Fire helps start your fire synergy - important for your Thermal Reverberation unlock. Using the helper adv here is important because you're mixing powersets and won't have as many fire effects going as a pure fire build would. 2. Since you're starting with fire now, your next two should be Tier 1 fire, so that your 4th skill (level 8) can be Tier 1 Beastial. What I would do is go thru the tutorial with Throw Fire and Shred, and then after the tutorial retrain replacing Shred with Fire Breath and Fire Ball (with Unstable Accelorant advantage), then as soon as you pick up Level 8 you're ready for Frenzy, followed by Bite. So: Tutorial powers: Throw Fire and Shred Initial Char: replace Behemoth with Devastator (Only Diff is Devastator buffs REC instead of PRE - which is more important at the start) Super Stats: CON always good, but I think you should SS END (or PRE) instead of STR. If you want lots of PRE for tanking, SS it, then just gear for the other stats. If you want to SS Energy - your thermal reverb will probably make high END more important than REC, because with the advanteges, you'll get immediate energy back - you just need a good max to stack it in. If you want to stay with STR, you will need to gear heavily for END and REC. Then - after the tutorial: 1. Throw Fire - Adv Fuel my fire (all fire emanates from head - works good I did this with snake venom) 1. Fire Breath replaces Shred 6. Fire Ball - Adv unstable accelarant 8. Frenzy 11. Bite 14. Thermal Reverb (moved way up - fire now fuels your fire, beast, and might skills so keep those clinging fires going!) Now you have, at level 14 a pretty good Dragon start, including your fire/clinging/energy synergies and solid claw/bite for close up. At this point you're due for some defense, and then it's all about building for intended purpose. Your suggested powers are a little out of my experience so I'll end my comments at level 14, except to say that you're Tier 2 qualified now for any power set and Tier 3 qualified already for Fire. Hope this helps! - PM

Might I recommend something like so:
: Level 40 Champion
Superstats: Level 6: Super Strength Level 13: Super Constitution
Powers: Level 1: Bestial Fury Level 1: Bite -- Furor Venenum Level 6: Frenzy -- Fear Sense Level 6: Fire Flight Level 8: Defiance -- Rank 2, Rank 3 Level 11: Fire Breath -- Spitfire Level 14: Thermal Reverberation Level 17: Retaliation -- Rank 2, Rank 3 Level 20: Howl -- Make Them Tremble Level 23: Fireball -- Unstable Accelerant Level 26: Flashfire -- Rank 2 Level 29: Havoc Stomp -- Cry Havoc, Challenging Strikes, Rank 2 Level 32: Resurgence -- Evanescent Emergence, Rank 2 Level 35: Enrage -- Rank 2, Rank 3, Giant Growth Level 35: Acrobatics -- Rank 2 Level 38: Fire Strike -- Crippling Challenge
Talents: Level 1: The Hero Level 6: Physical Conditioning Level 9: Impressive Physique Level 12: Relentless Level 15: Quick Recovery Level 18: Shrug It Off Level 21: Lasting Impression
Only power I changed out was Flashfire for Pyre. Flashfire is instant to get the patch of fire instead of having to be charged like Pyre, has a shorter activation time, costs less, and the fire patch does more damage. For a bit less energy (and a bit less time) you can do Flashfire + Full Charge Havoc Stomp, which will not only do more damage (if we include fall damage), it will also apply fear and Knock enemies (gotta love that fall damage is unable to be mitigated.) Pyre does, admittedly, have a better chance of applying clinging flames, but, in my experience, the patch of flashfire will give you all the energy you need.

Supercollide, Ref: forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=128670&highlight=growthTheres' apparently a growth effect in combat for me to experiment with. I immediately thought of your dragon - have you ever worked with that? Has anyone else used it? BTW: I have a behemoth/fire (70%/30%) on my back-burner - a lava rock-skin called Volcano who parallels this dragon design to a significant degree - he'll be the one I try to get growth to work with. EDIT: Oops! I found you already mentioned this in the OP - oh well, I'm gonna play with it!

Finally took him out of PTS and the powerhouse.
Started levelling using Bestial Supernatural powers, superjump as first TP and SS CON then I'll probably retcon at about level 20 and go for the fire Energy Builder as getting the 'stompyness' from the beginning was one of the fun things about this toon. Picked up the magnifier in the sale as well and he's getting a lot of attention when he goes out for walks.
A lot of fun to play with/as!
