I've really ramped up my play time since getting the game. There is just so much about the builder and the powers to love!! I'm like a kid in a candy store, to be honest.
I wanted to build a Green Dragon themed Sword user. Green dragons being the poison variety of dragon it was easy to get the power sets to make it work. That they play so nicely together is just icing on the cake.
Eventually I want to try my hand at PvP. I see this as maybe being ok if I trade the rank out of Devour and the 1 point from force shield to get crippling challenge. Wiser, more experienced builders could certainly shed some light on that. I simply have no experience in PvP in this game yet.
I like ranged energy builders, I've discovered, so I went with Infernal Bolts first, which also gives me access to an early heal/damage power. It's not too bad on it's own, but when it hits a bleeding target it becomes quite nice indeed. Coupled with the always nice Regeneration, I find myself getting pretty cocky ( just made 18 last night ) and not paying the price of my actions.
I took force shield with the 1 point wonder force sheath so I can turtle up if I need to and get both health and power back. It is also offsetting my lowish regen/end on my toon atm until I get better gear. As I've said it's been zero drama as a build so far.
I'm a bleed stacking build to take advantage of the heal boost but also the 100% chance to stun from venomous breath. If you teleport in and hit the group ( or PvP target I'm hoping ) with a bleed, you can follow with V. breath with it's nice 50 ft cone to get your stun. Then just go to work.
I took Dragon Bite as a single target boss killer ( I hope, again no real experience with this yet. )
Later in the build I started getting some mitigation/xx effect powers to help my toughness. The minuscule dps boost I'll get from enrage is better than nothing. Damage is damage after all.
I have toyed with the idea of taking Aura of Primal Majesty instead of Regen, but I already have a AoPM build going and wanted something different.
I'm looking forward to getting Dragon bite next. Hopefully tonight I'll get that done.
So buildmeisters, can ya help a brutha out ? Have I made any glaring mistakes with this themed build? Seems solid enough, but I'm just getting the trainings wheels off this sucker. I'm gonna fall a time or two I'm sure.
