Some discussions we had with some people here reminded me of a story I think I didn't share: Sometime last year a lot of people went into an iPhone 4 craze. My mobile had just died a gruesome death and I needed a phone and I needed it fast. So I said "Oh well, why not" and went and asked about this new iPhone thingy that was driving people loony. The first store told me they had a limited supply only and therefor were bound by contract to only give them out to customers of a certain network provider. The young man suggested I go down the road to my own network provider's store and try them. I went down the road. The friendly young lady there told me that indeed they had the phone and she'd be happy to provide one for me... and then asked "Would you like to sign up with our network service?" I explained to her that I already was a customer. At which she apologised and informed me that new customers were given priority - would recieve the phone on the same day. Existing customers would sadly have to go on a waiting list of at least 2 weeks but likely a month. I was asked if I wanted to be added to the waiting list. I explained that as a loyal customer of thirteen years I certainly do not wish or accept to be added to any waiting lists. The result: I am quite happy with my Samsung running Android

My response would have been something along the lines of: "No, as a long standing loyal customer with an account in good standing, I would not like to be on a waiting list behind new customers without my proven track record. Congratulations, you have just lost a loyal customer. Please cancel my account and I will go down the street to your competitor."
Of course I probably would have sprinkled in a lot more sarcasm and vitriol... but maybe not.

Yeah. My contract is ending and I am not renewing it. At that time work was so hectic, I could not afford changing

If you ever get a look at the iPhone4's beautiful screen, you'll probably want one.

i personally don't get all the craze about mac, iphone, ipad etc etc. i mean, what's so good about them that makes them superior? the iphone has over 9000 restrictions on them - bluetooth, MUST use itunes, cannot transfer files easily.
i'd rather use an android.
