I know the whole topic of "best" usually elicits the same response, but I feel in T4 PvP, there really is some sort of hierarchy when it comes to Archetypes. So far, the only toon I have that is in T4 is a Specialist, and he generally gets rocked (level 36). Granted, I don't have my level 40 ability yet, and I know it'll be very helpful, but I feel like I'm just not up to par with freeform characters.
Anyone have any suggestions as to which AT will generally do the best in Tier 4 PvP? I'm talking mostly about Stronghold Prison Break, but something that can also do well in UTC, BASH, and Zombie apocalypse would be nice too.

i'm doing fine in T4 pvp with My glacier until they team up against me lol i'm lvl 37 and sometimes i feel that my damage is not enough to take some ppl fast enough! i heard that avalanche has some good damage but i have to test it by myself first!
anyway, the only AT able to keep up with me on 1vs1 is the behemoth but only skilled players! minds are annoying as hell their damage is veeeery weak but they just get there trying to steal kills and they keep on healing and holding you!
so as i said my glacier can do well in pvp but he kind of needs support, i don't have any heals to back me up and my dmg is not strong enough to take down anyone fast before geting the attention of anyone lol especially fat ppl (behemoth, glacier, savage)!

This topic got rather buried, but I'm still curious as to what people think. The tempest has come out since I made the topic, so does anyone have some insight on their T4 capabilities? I also hear Void is pretty solid in late PvP, and some say The Inventor is almost broken.

Yes, those three are what I hear the best PvP Archetypes - Void because of its mix of healing and damage at the same time, Inventor for its turtling and support capabilities, and Tempest thanks to its great damage and energy return. I like all three of them - seem like the most fun Archetypes to play IMO.

I went with Void. We'll see how it goes.

Specialist performs surprisingly okay after 17 too ^^

I have a 38 specialist, and although it does well in some instances, most of the time it gets destroyed in T4 pvp.

Yeah, but I'm guessing lead tempest makes a large difference If T4 ATpvp is anything like T4Freeform, isn't it a bunch of 40s stomping anyone lower level?

That may be the case. I'm not entirely sure since I don't have a level 40 yet. However a while back, some random level 32 grimoire and I stomped a prison break 2v4. i54.tinypic.com/21mxm6u.jpg

hahaha nice job. I'm struggling to find a way to make specialist decent in t2 Bullet Beatdown just doesn't connect unless they're already locked down and gonna die anyways. R2 Blade Tempest + Crashing Crescendo is great aoe but still kinda meh for single-target. Two-gun mojo needs points for crippling and nailed, so no +damage there

Blade tempest may seem rather "meh" but it really is one of the most effective PvP abilities on a Specialist. Other than that, Eye of the Storm will be somewhat effective in T2/T3 PvP, but beyond that it's really only useful in PvE.

Yeah, it's definitely great compared to all the other choices available, just not compared to other ATs Still, the staying power of the Specialist isn't bad at all =P I guess.

Man, I don't know why it always takes me a while to put two and two together with you. You're Azazel@Puritas. I'm Strange@Doowbert. Funny I didn't notice that before.
