TYR EDITION #2: Tivar Mund
Tyr traveled his way back to Asgard, to find it under seige by the giant jotunns.
Thor could be seen at the bordering walls of Asgard, keeping the giants at bay.
Tyr smashed his way through the lines till he came infront of Thor.
"Tyr!" Thor said in an astonished tone, "You have returned!"
Tyr, "I have not the time, take me to Odin..."
Thor nods, and leads him to the great hall Valhalla as the others keep the jotunns at
bay. All the gods turn there head in astonishment. Odin sit in his throne, appearing weak
as he slowly raises his head, Frigg at his side, not making eye contact with either of them.
"Greetings Tyr..." says Odin, "As you can see, the times of Ragnarok come upon us..."
He lets out a chuckle that stops with a hard cough and pain.
"Odin, you fool, still believing the prophicies matter..." Says Tyr, "Or has Frigg not told
you?"
Odin gets a confused look as he turns towards Frigg, "What does Tyr speak of?"
Frigg slowly turns her gaze towards himself, "Well, my visions have begun to leave me, but
from what I know, these events that occur are not of full prophecy...Loki is still bound
at this time, which is why he is not present during the battle..."
Gasps can be heard through out the hall, as well as curses and yells between the gods.
"Why did you not tell me this earlier?" says Odin.
"Because..." Frigg looks towards Tyr, "It wasn't till this all began, that my visions became
different and blurred...but I saw a shadowed image of Tyr in one of these unclear visions...
so I awoke him...and I believe it is up to Tyr to save us all..."
The hall erupts in a roar of chatter. Odin looks about the hall, before setting his eyes
on Tyr. Odin was never at good terms with Tyr, knowing of Friggs feelings for Tyr, "And what
could a weakened one hand God do to stop Ragnorak?"
Tyr moves forward and grabs Odin with his one hand, lifting him off his throne,"I could
care less about stopping your end Odin...I no longer care for others needs..."
Thor grasps Tyr's arm, "Now is not the time Tyr...". Tyr scolds Thor, but drops Odin, before
looking at Frigg, "I shall only help if I obtain my owns wishes, now speak..."
Frigg sighs lightly, "Tyr, you must obtain your full power again from within the belly of
Fenrir....but how you shall do so in your current state I do not know..."
Tyr thinks hard before turning towards Thor, "Give me one of your gloves..."
Thor grips his hammer tightly, "Why should I do that? My destiny requires me to use all I can
rather then yours..."
Tyr gets face to face with Thor, "Damn your destiny Thor, it means nothing now...I need
one of your gloves to take to eitri and the Sons of Ivaldi...."
Thor does not budge, until he begins to understand Tyr's plan. He unslips his left hand
glove, "Here then...I hope this will aid your needs..."
Tyr takes the glove, "Then to Eitri I go". He begins to to walk the direction of his journey,
till a loud monsterous yell could be heard outside the walls.
Thor got a concerned look upon his face, "Jormungandr..." He quickly looks at Tyr, "I suggest
you hurry.." Thor then rushes outside to do battle with the serpent.
Tyr makes his travels to find Eitri and the Sons, so they can work together to reforge
the glove to be made as a replacement right hand for Tyr. They worked as hard and fast
as they could, yet nothing as magnificent as this would be able to be made so quick. In time
though the hand was forged. Tyr slid it on, and a ray of light flashed as the ground shaked,
combining with his arm.......
Thor did battle with Jormungadr for what seemed endless. Thor was confident, knowing that
the prophecy foretold of his win in this battle. Then, the mighty serpent delivered a
powerful strike that knocked Thor back. As the serpant curled back for the final strike,
lunging forward with its powerful jaw open, Tyr came over Thor and grasped the serpent
from the top and bottom of its jaw. The serpent was instantly stopped, before havig its
jaw ripped out from the bottom, then Tyr shoved his fist through the top of his head.
The serpents body dropped with a large crash. Tyr turned around and looked at Thor, "What
have you say of your prophecy now?"
Thor stood himself up with a confused look, "Well...I guess Frigg was right..." all the
other gods had been watching with amazement. Thor looked back towards Tyr, "Then what shall
we do now?"
Tyr had already turned and began walking again, "We?...I already know where I must go next."
He kept walking thinking to himself, "Well Fenrir...its time..."
