I love my Soldier a good bit, but I haven't gotten to try Specialist, and I would love a good break down of comparison of the two classes, their pros and cons of each other and such so I can figure if it would be worth buying the AT (as in, would I get better use/more play out of it than my Soldier.. or are they very similar and not really worth the change if I am already an established Soldier).

You could try the Specialist Guide in our Game Guides section. It has lots of good information about how it works and plays out.
But they're not "very similar" for the main reason that Soldier is a ranged Archetype, whereas The Specialist is a ranged/melee hybrid. The Specialist can get some awesome damage output in melee given the right conditions, while stilling doing well at range, whereas Soldier is just amazing damage at long range.

Yeah I have looked at its guide here, I guess my question was mostly asking of people's personal experiences with both classes and their differences.

The Specialist can't necessarily tank, but with an incredible dodge chance, you end up taking a lot less damage than other classes.

Personally I've never tried any of them. But I bet the Specialist can top the Soldier, because: 1. The Specialist has a self-heal advantage, "Stimpak", that can helps you last longer in combat, while when the Soldier's health bar goes down, it never goes up again. 2. The Specialist is versatile: he can take some damage, can do some damage from afar, can do some damage in melee, can focus fire and can do AoE. As I've experienced from many RPG game, versatility always means that you can work out many tactics to deal with specific foe. 3. Erm ... dual Pistol and Dual blades when going together looks really cool. 4. Erm ... erm .... Atari charges you 920 coins for the Specialist but give you the Soldier for free, that got to mean something ... right?

In defense of the Soldier - 1. Most dangerous array of ranged attacks in the game bar none. 2. You have two swords I have a shotgun with breaching rounds - knockback can stop any powerup and leaves me time to hit with other things. 3. Smoke grenades, nothing wrong with some confusion. 4. Tech you can craft things, healing patches and ablative armor is my friend in a tough spot and later I hope to build bigger toys to back me up. 5. Range it has a 100 ft. ranged attack option the machine gun and later other more devestating options. 6. Its just as cool nothing like the spray of a big gun to make a Soldier feel good about themselves. I did play both they have strong points but the Soldier is better at what it does, the other does neither well but is more versatile in some ways.
