Is this something you would play?
It doesn't feel like something I would like to play, but I was curious how many other would enjoy it.
Edit - Here's a longer video with some details and some game play.

I've personally never seen the appeal of hunting/fishing type simulation games. I know plenty of people play them, otherwise they wouldn't keep making 'em every year or so, but I just don't get it...so I guess to answer your question: No.

Not my type of game but apparently these things are insanely popular because multiple different editions of these come out every. single. year.

I've always thought that hunting makes sense only in real environment. Oh wait, it's just a reskinned shooter, and this fight with buffaloos is plain hilarious.

Hey, would you play it if you could play as one of the animals? Lions? Hyenas? Rhinos?

I wouldn't play as the animals to run after humans with guns, not in open maps like this. Now in a game like Aliens vs. Predator or Natural Selection 2 with tight maps that can by fun.

I'm holding out until Cabela makes a Jurassic Park hunting game. I want to play as Muldoon and utter "...clever girl..." every time a raptor eats my face. I want a separate button specifically for saying that; it shall be labeled the Clever Girl Button in the instructions.

I'm holding out until Cabela makes a Jurassic Park hunting game. I want to play as Muldoon and utter "... clever girl..." every time a raptor eats my face. I want a separate button specifically for saying that; it shall be labeled the Clever Girl Button in the instructions. and absolutely, yes. So hunting sims are a thing? I would be interested if they had: African Adventures: the Spear Edition - guns are too OP, not fun Bounty Hunter: the Deadliest Prey is Man - kinda like Hitman, but that franchise is screwed, I wanna be the good guy Arnold vs. Predator - I don't want to play a Xenomorph, I want to play as Arnold or as "Cut My Own Chest" Billy Here's how I see the hunting sim Arnold vs. Predator, you switch between characters: - Tutorial - you're in the Delta Team in Columbia, standard covert mission
- Stage 1 - finding Anna, guns as a last resort, use knives & stealth to sneak into enemy camp
- Stage 2 - the jungle came alive, you're tracking the Predator, shooting his gossamer image
- Stage 3 - I'm going to have me some fun, a high speed chase to avenge my friend
- Final Boss Fight - I'm muddy Arnold, fighting the Predator with sticks
I imagine that last boss fight like the Mister Freeze stage of Arkham City. Except you can choose where to place the traps in a small stage, and that preparation is the most of the stage. It's like a Sim City portion, with limited time (you have until the night), you can do a practice run, and when you're ready...you summon the Predator by lighting a torch. Now, this is a hunting sim that I would play.

Watching the video the gameplay does not seem so bad, there's several new MMOs on the market that claim to be innovative but too much resemble this fight against buffalos.
