Ok so here's the deal.
If I were to make a character looking like Superman named "Superman" would I get banned for doing so?
Would a Dev/Gm alert me? (And then change my name for me?)
Can Devs/GM change the players name if they have to?
Fast replies is much appreciated.

Don't think you will get banned but your character probably would. Or get renamed and costume reset. You most likely can't even create a character with that name anyway as most famous superhero names are blocked.
Not completely sure on this as I've never had to worry about it. :/

Doing so is against the rules, and if reported your character would probably be renamed and possibly have the look changed if you did look alot like him. I would recommend making a few tweaks(for example, Superman didnt wear gloves). And Superman also wore a number of different costumes in the comics, so you could pick one of the less well known versions. As far as the name goes, try something like Ultraman instead.

Funny enough, Ultraman was an entirely different popular Japanese hero. Used to watch it when I was a squirt.
It's not supposed to be done, as it could get Cryptic in hot legal waters if they don't stay on top of it. They already fended off one suit. If you pick the big names (Superman, Batman, etc.) you can be pretty sure you're going to get zapped with the GM Randomizer and have your name forcefully reset. More obscure things are less likely to get caught, but it's still entirely possible.
Making something in a similar vein can be a bit more of a passable gray area. One thing you can do if you're concerned about whether or not you're going to get shot down is to make your costume and your name, and then report yourself to the GMs, explain what you're up to, and ask them if it's considered to be infringement. If it is, it'll be dealt with. If it isn't, it'll set a precedent for future reports against you that works in your favor.

Ultraman might not even work. It is/was a popular character on Japanese TV. I watch some of it when i was a kid. Still it might not be blocked. I know that DC and Marvel names are blocked, but so are other lesser known hero names. I could use Brisco County, Jr but not Rocketeer. I also tried a few Freedom Force character names when I was tinkering. They seemed to work so every copyrighted name is not blocked, but if it gets noticed they might make changes on you. Changes you may not like when you are at 20 somethingth lvl. I admit it. I did gen up a Supes costume just to see if I could. Not bad. I called him Cliche. I used him for about five minutes. I left the game to start over after a fat Batman asked me to PVP. Understand, unless you go Gold, your "supes", whatever he looks like, will never have cold breath and a heat attack on the same toon. Here is what I would suggest to give you day in the red cape. As a noob I've been through the Tutorial more than a few times just to get a feel for the power types. Go through once with your R&B Supes using the Behemoth arche and another time with cold or heat or anything else you'd like to try. Silvers only get two toons, but it's not so bad to delete a low lvl guy. Once you've decided what Arche feels right, create something unique or at least unique-ish. As an example of unique, I love puns, so I created a Might toon and put the symbol for British money on his chest. I called him Pound. Which is exactly what a Behemoth should be doing to bad guys. Then to add to the British feel, his hands and feet are armored in classic knight garb. Well, I like him, but I'm weird like that. Trust me, creating your own hero is a big part of the fun. As they used to say on TV, "Try it, you'll like it!" Edit - I took too long (not surprising), but GammaBreaker knows about Ultraman? I thought I was the oldest timer here.

Ok so, just to be on the safe side I've deleted my character named Neo (dressed as him as well...) However I used the save I'd made on him in the character creation, tweaked on it at it's places and made (sort of) my own Hero. With a non-copyrighted name why thank you . [Edit]: Spelling Errors

Honestly, I think you could have gotten away with the look if you didnt have the name. The black trenchcoat/glasses look is generic enough that I dont think you could have gotten in trouble for it in itself. But you were def smart changing the name

Funny thing is though, after I levelled 7 with the new character and mucked about with the Tailor I just happened to come across someone (just like me) in black trench-coat, almost all black clothes and a pair of shades. And guess what his name was....you guessed it, "Neo". I did however tell him that he could get banned with a name like that, he was a new player. "Better Safe than Sorry"- Church Guy

You won't, and can't, get banned for a copywritten hero design. You'll just get genericed. I suppose if you do it enough, repeatedly, you might piss off the GM who has to go in and change your costume 14 times, but... meh, doubt you'd get banned.

In copyright there are 3 parts of possible blame: 1) Name 2) Appearance 3) Powers
Copying in all 3 of them is not good
Copying 2 out of 3 is kind of a blur line, it will depends on how famous if the thing you are copying Eg. Making a brawler hero with laser beams and frost breath, wearing tights and cape, named Paco
Copying 1 out of 3 is most likely safe.
I also read that satires are kind of allowed like the famous Shark Knight as satire of Batman.

Right after release I made a character that looks like M.Bison (aka Vega) and I called him M.Bison 2-3 days later I got a message that this name is under copyright and I had to rename him. So I called him dictator. However, I never had to change his appearance.

Rules of thumb concerning copyright: Some of these rules assume free-form is being utilized. Silvers have some degree of built-in protection from being able to make clones of certain characters.
1) Same look + same name = not allowed, don't do it regardless of what powers the character uses
2) Same look + different name + same powers = allowed but prone to being reported by those who don't know the rules all that well, use with caution
3) Different look + same name + same powers = allowed provided the name isn't filtered in the creator, the more obscure the character the higher the chances the name isn't blocked
4) Slightly different look + different name + same powers = Homage character, allowed and encouraged to a degree
Originality is your best option by far.
