Hey all, I'm brand-spanking new to Champions Online, and have been rerolling characters trying to get an idea on what I want as far as class and looks go.
Last MMO I had played was World of Warcraft, but I'd been off of that for about a year and a half now, and been focusing my gaming time on single player games (so many I had missed while raiding!). I knew for a while that Champions was going to be free to play, but even so, I'm late to get on this thing. I've been itching for a new MMO to play, but don't want to get as involved as last time... so I figure a free super hero MMO is the way to go. I did enjoy my CoH/CoV free trials long ago a lot, but didn't buy them because I couldn't convert my friends over at the time. Well, still can't get them off of WoW. Oh well. Just means I might have to try to be a bit social and make some friends online that I don't know in person.
While I don't really feel up for paying a subscription for a game again, I don't mind the idea of buying additional content for the game, like how they have additional powers and such. Just everything I've seen so far seems like its priced kinda steep. Maybe it'll seem more reasonable if I get more into it?
So I've been going through a lot of the classes, and I'm thinking I want to level up with a Behemoth for the sake of being a tank. Thinking I need to find people to play with though if I'll be tanking. I already have SPrime's Might Guide bookmarked, so hopefully I won't be too much of a scrub (I won't lie though, I'm quite the noob). Though I would appreciate any other useful info on getting started with this game, especially if there are guides aimed at Silver-archetype-only members.

Most of your powers are already set up ... and ... well, we can say that we are stuck like that. So it is very hard to build your character wrong.
