Hi,
Has anyone else had an issue with the client patching this week? I have been unable to get the client to complete the patch process. It always stalls at 61.8% complete.
I opened a ticket with Cryptic, not sure how long it will take for them to get back to me.
I play through the Steam client as well. This is the first time I have ever had a patching issue like this.
I have tried the following to no avail...
1. Did a chkdsk /f on the volume. 2. Deleted the .patch directory to force it to restart the patch download. 3. Initiated a "Force Verify" in the client options. 4. Had Steam verify the game files cache. 5. Check for a Steam Client update. 6. Closed and restarted the client to force it to pick up where it left off patching.
Any other ideas. Next I am going to download the freestanding client and try to play through that, but it will take a while to download.
System running Windows 7 x64 SP1
Thanks

Thanks for letting me know. It was definitively driving me insane as well.
I downloaded the standalone client and it would freeze as well half-way through. I was able to finally get it to finish after a couple of hours and multiple attempts.

It was over before I even realized it was patching for me.
But I still have the Mail! Mail! Mail! bug...

Well, here we go again. New patch same issues. I am running the free standing client and it is again freezing during the patch process.
I decided to look at the logs and this keeps popping up...
