I'm at lvl 28 and I have about 60G, I imagine you'll get 250g before you hit 40, right now I'm trolling the market and buy anything worth while to dump resources.
Question: how are you going to dump your resource since the limit for silver is 250? IMO it should be at least 1000.

I agree that the limit is too restrictive. Couldn't garner any support in the beta though. People are too scared of the imaginary gold farmer :/

Im lvl 33 and am only at 70-something Global . Then again, I made some mistakes and had to retcon a few times over the course of my career, so eh. In any case, what is there to spend the gold on in the endgame besides retconning and maybe those hero stars? That's something I'm actually not sure of yet .

If you are interested in, "storing," your Globals so as to be able to accumulate more, buying crafted travel power materials might be the way to go. Stacks of 50 of those generally sell well so if you get low on resources you could pull a stack out of storage and have a quick turn-around in the Auction House (or in chat).

Really depends on your farming habit and what stuff you want to buy from the Auction House. I slowly farm costume drops, because I am certain that once I buy one from someone else, I'll get it as the next drop Crafted Action Figures I am mostly crafting myself, while crafted Travel Powers I decided not to bother with.

There are also certain items from NPC vendors (that are not bound and stack up to 50) that you buy at the same price as what you can sell to the NPC for. Those can be good holders of resources.

The craft mats sold by the crafting trainers, right? Those are upwards of 2g each, so I'd say its a very good way to sink gold, since one stack is 2/5 the gold cap.

The 250G limit is there purely so that Silver members cannot fully retcon. This is so that they will be forced to purchase a retcon token in the C-Store.
However, a great way to overcome the 250G limit is to have multiple accounts. Whenever you're close to approaching the 250G limit, all you have to do is dump the Globals onto a mule account. That way, with four accounts, you can maintain enough money so that you can fully retcon your character if you need to.

Although with the AT's there's almost no reason to retcon at all with powers already selected for you....and if you have to retcon there's no reason to do a full retcon anyway all you really have to do is remove anything you might want to change later (and can) then stick on the new power (which can't be changed since you're an AT and will have to get it anyway) and then restick on the things you removed.

In fact it cant serve this purpose as one can readily afford a full retcon with a 250G limit.

It does on a Freeform. It's a lot cheaper on Archetypes. Dunno if it's that cheap, though, don't have a lot of experience in the subject.

If I remember correctly the Gold limit in LOTRO for free players is 2G lol so I'm quit fine with the limit in CO for now.

Freeform yes, archetype no. Archetypes only have to pay to remove the choices they've made. Check your facts before posting, especially as a moderator since your word intrinsically has more weight. Misinformation only hurts in the long run.

Settle down, he asked a question...that still hasn't been answered. What is the actual cost to fully retcon an archetype?
