Ive seen that video and a still dont recommend lunging with melee being the way it is.
a 1.7 second lunge stun isnt much help to a range toon, the only reason people even use void shift is because its advantage has a 100 % chance of fearing targets in an AoE, snare is annoying at best. The only build were i accept void shift as being intergral is an toon with spirit reverb and literally only 2 darkness powers or if your using it to proc MSA, or if you use it to fear targets for your bestial build(howl does that, but has a long cool down).
why jump to danger with a short stun as you only defense? good luck escaping with a 50 ft lunge its not like that DW toon wont have a 50 foot lunge. then what? now youve got two players on you the melee you lunged at and the guy you lunged at to escape. instead of just using something like ego choke(has a dmg debuff and does escalating damage) or ego sleep(which fears targets) where you can disable him from 50 ft away but they do have longer cool down, 15 secs i believe.
You dont need it, your TO has CC and shadow embrace has nailed to the ground, the only reason to have this power is to have a CC+Nttg carrier in 1 package. Id rather have a different power though since other moves have these advatages.
As a matter of fact the entire way the advantages points were spent is weird.....no vengeful shadows, no nyctophobia, they put points in IDF(WTF?), summon shadows(going to get torn apart not to mention with the prevalence of defensive passives all three shadows DPSing still isnt going to be healing you by much)
As said immolation is for hold break, but ascension does the same except buffs healing, and grants flight as well, Shadow shroud has an AoE fear component and give energy when you take dmg.
I suggested Ego surge because it buffs crit severity which can be used with imbue(guaranteed crit whose severity is scaled with CON) for an extra 87% boost. you can also imbue rift, those i dont condon this because imbue is broken and shouldnt work like that.
as for travel powers since you pvp take teleport first but dont "ditch" flight. the heck kinda suggestion was that? kiting with 100 foot Ebon ruin taps is still legit not to mention you need a not tedious way to get around the other 90% of the game world outside PvP. unless you dont plan on pvping until 40 then it doesnt matter.
