An Archetype named The Void is incoming, using Darkness powers. As for Celestial, I hope it'll come sometime fairly soon, since it's kind of an iconic set.

From here on out, I'm betting all new Archetypes will require a purchase. Cryptic hasn't necessarily said so, but their current model is pretty much shouting out that all new content will be pay to play. Pay to play as in micro-transactions, not subscriptions.

The info on the wiki came directly from asking RoBoBo "Is The Void going to be premium?" and him saying "yes."

From the FtP Q & A "Poz: The eight archetypes announced will be free and it is most new ones will be for pay." forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=118108Color, bold, and underline added for emphasis. Doesnt mean that they havent changed their mind, but it does imply that at least some AT's will be added for free.

So Most new ones so new AT come it get price and old ones like Specialist and Savage going be free? Most likely, Specialist and Savage remains purchasable. It would be unfair for those who bought it if it goes free in the future. Maybe some new AT's in the future will be free, depends on Cryptic.

I hope they put out at least one new free AT for every two premium ATs.

What I'd like to see (and isn't going to happen, since they've already gone outside it) is for their to be a free archetype of each powerset (Archery, Fire, Dual Blades, Power Armor, etc.), and then the gold archetypes would mix and match powers between different powersets to create better characters (as, if I'm going to pay for it, I'd like to be paying for something better.)
Admittedly, that's mostly because I'd like to try out several of the powersets (Melee Telekinesis, Gadgeteering and Power Armor specifically) that aren't available to see how they work/if I want to subscribe to play them.
If nothing else, next time I order something from Amazon, I'll probably toss a copy of CO in with the order (as it's only $5).
