OK, What I have here is a girl who, when I hit the 'T', automatically switches to her second costume at the same time that her Fire-Flight activates. When I hit 'Y' she changes back to a girl while turning her travel power off. The way you do this is using key-binds. You type the following strings into your chat box: /bind y "+PowerTrayExec 14$$ setactivecostume 0 0" /bind t "+PowerTrayExec 14$$ setactivecostume 0 1" Notes: 1. You have to have the costumes there (duh) 2. I always get a costume change error message which I ignore (anyone know how to fix that please tell me) 3. If you don't wait 10-20 sec between changes you'll get out of synch - just hit the T or Y again or change costume manually. My other characters using these strings are my Fairy/girl, my Persian Mystic/Imp, and my Tempest mech Bird/Lion. The possibilities are endless! Please let me know what you do with your characters! --------- EDIT: Second example Whenever Shah Mat is flying, he's a batty-imp. When not flying, he's the tall guy again!

*raises hand* Question! Can I bind costume change to energy forms? Like when I activate say... Immolation, I want my character to change, then change back when the energy form finishes. Is that possible?

You should be able to use the keybind Mordred presented to have a costume change happen as you trigger Immolation. If (and I haven't played fire for a while) Immolation though runs out by itself after a timer or at the end of combat or something like that, then the keybind will not have the costume revert automatically. You will have to set another keybind to manually swap back.

On that note, if Mordred's character Phoenix Fury is hit with a tp disabler, I believe she will stay in her travel costume, correct Mordred?

Yes, they are actually independant.
I have to say, though, that it happened once and I took the time to switch costume manually!

*raises hand* Question! Can I bind costume change to energy forms? Like when I activate say... Immolation, I want my character to change, then change back when the energy form finishes. Is that possible? In the key-bind code above, slot 14 is for the travel power, If you used key 7 for immolate, you would replace 14 with 6. From the Forum Guide: Power Tray This shows what slot is which #: | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | 11 | 12 | 13 | 15 | | 16 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 14 | Also you would have to get the syntax for the immolate power instead of the 'setactivecostume' command. The Guide is on the forum at: forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=81117I've had some problems using this guide, but it's the only source I know of and I haven't given it due dilligence yet...

Please let me know what you do with your characters! This was exactly what I was looking for. I read this earlier, studied a bit more (so I don't screw up my key bindings) and tried it out. You may have come across my posts about Bloodbath, my vampire character that pretends to be a superhero pretending to be a vampire. Her appearance reflects her background as she has a.) a superhero costume and b.) a "feral" form (as described in Bloodbath: The Streets Run Red). Here's how I use your key bind trick. I do one more thing...I insert Teleport in the middle. The idea is playing off how in Dracula a vampire can change into mist and back, but Bloodbath's change is from superhero --> mist --> feral. Take a look.

I like it Do you have one keybind that toggles teleport, then toggles flight and the costume change or do you simply trigger teleport, then use your flight/costume keybind?

I like it Do you have one keybind that toggles teleport, then toggles flight and the costume change or do you simply trigger teleport, then use your flight/costume keybind? Exactly as you said in the latter (bolded) part. Exactly. In more detail: 1. I configured my middle-mouse-button (the scroll wheel) to be my Teleport. It had always been my 'emergency' button. So I actually use that 1st out of habit... 2. ...then I hold down the T key to fully charge flight, which I have key-binded to change costumes as you guys kindly taught me to. I heard my SG mention this key bind trick, but never found out how to set it up until Mordred broke it down into simple words I can understand. Very grateful, this is good stuff.
