It is my firm belief that Jackie Chan is a "Spider Monkeykin Pooka" We can neither confirm nor deny that

What I don't understand is how the heck you people had time for all these games...?
I played some D&D, Star Wars RPG, Heroes Unlimited and another the name of which escapes me at the moment, but nowhere near long enough to each to have this level of experience. I definately did not have time for like 15 games plus consoles and the laundry list of MMO's.
I think it's official. I watch too much.... adult material.

You are lucky this is a forum about a T-rated game, otherwise you may just suddenly see everyone having scary expertiese there as well.

What I don't understand is how the heck you people had time for all these games...? Well, for one, I'm nearly forty years old, and I started playing when I was only eight or nine years old. A third of a century is a loooong time in which to accumulate the experiences I've had. For two, though? During my twenties, I was part of a university gaming club - "MaGiK", or "Master's Gaming Konnection" (don't ask me why they used a K), on the Lowell campus of the University of Massachusetts. A club I understand is still in operation to this day ... just no longer convenient for me to get to and from. Anyway, during that time, I often was able to participate in 2-4 discrete games at a time - one per night, about every other night. And no, I didn't have a girlfriend at the time. ;D Plus, all my friends, I knew through the club. Yes, I had a pretty narrow social life. *shrug* In my thirties, I've gotten - on and off - into playing "Play-by-Post", or PbP, games at online forums, primarily RPoL.net ("Role-Play on Line"), so I've been able to work a game or two into any schedule I might have had, still. It's also helped that I have a "gamer" girlfriend who is unlikely to complain if I spent every, say, Friday night playing D&D or Shadowrun. And, we both decided nearly fifteen years ago, that we didn't ever want kids (neither of us feels able to be a good parent). And ... oh, hey: this post would be worth, like, 200 infraction points somewhere or other ...! ;D

... It's also helped that I have a "gamer" girlfriend.. Those are nice aren't they? I think they're on the endangered species list now. You might want to register her

That's still pretty darn impressive. I'm uber lazy and misanthropic, so going to friends houses every day would have really cut in to my antisocializing on the couch.
Although I guess if it was an on campus thing it wouldn't have been so bad. Except I don't like the idea of living on campus because of all them people who aren't me who insist on interacting with me.
Ugh, now I feel dirty, imagining all those people...

... It's also helped that I have a "gamer" girlfriend.. Those are nice aren't they? Yes, and no. She's very understanding of what "I joined a gaming group, we meet weekly". Howver, her playstyle and mine have surprisingly-little overlap, and evey time I have tried to run a game that she would enjoy, it has crashed and burned, because one or both of us have become deeply dissatisfied. For just one example: I love strategy games ... but she is extremely conflict-averse.

Well, we have found some middle ground. She likes Agricola, for example. And I've brought her around to enjoying Puerto Rico. Oh, and Sttlers of Catan, she enjoys. We also played a variant of Advanced Civilization (Imperial variant) that she enjoyed - but, we played with far too much room on the board for the number of players, so, no inter-player conflict at all. Better than nothing, but, not as good as it could have been IMO.

I prefer coop games myself as well. We're planning to play some Arkham Horror soon. Looking forward to be driven insane while singing Necronomicon: The Musical.

See ... she also dislikes especially-complex games, as well as especially-long games (ADD issues), so Arkham ... I'm still working on that one.

How about Junta? As complex strategy games go, I really enjoyed Revolution: the dutch revolt. Though what I spend the most time on was Second Edition Talisman... Oh man, we'd start after lunch and play through the night. I miss those good old days at school

The U.S. and Europe are getting a server each for PC and PS3?
Are there enough people playing on either version that each region requires it's own server? I can understand separating the PC and PS3 versions but do they really have the numbers for that?

Nice spin on "Server consolidation", that.
Honor Guard: it's probably less about population, and more about latency.
