I swear to god, if they introduce some Foundry stuff in Champions, I am:
1. Making a few missions to go through a rough outline of a story arc I planned for books with my main character in them (here's a hint - he's named Calsetes,)
2. Making sure they play out right,
3. Giving something cool to the first 10 people to play through the "Calsetes Arc" of missions to generate (hopefully good) buzz to get others to play it.
Hopefully it'll bring back free-to-players, also.

How would the foundry work in the F2P model? Silvers do not get to create any content period? Silvers can purchase Foundry Slots? This would be my prefered idea...

I was in the closed beta for DCUO, and although I got the game, I didn't stick with it.
I like the way that you gathered costume pieces and your look kind of evolved. Not as customizable as CO, but what is?
I liked that there are skills and there are powers, and you can try different combos of the two.
I like the graphics. No, I love the graphics. The game looks great and ran very smoothly. The first time I got in the battle with Gorilla Grodd, I was blown away; when he roared at the camera and beat his chest, it looked amazing.
I like the variations in the missions; the battle where you had to keep the enemy alive because she was using a hero's body - very clever, good battle. There are others, like the basic missions where you have to carry civilians to safety.
Lots of praise, right? Why speak so highly and not play?
No sense of community at all. Chat was so cumbersome, it was just awful trying to speak to anyone. Too much work! I don't play MMOs to be alone.

I could dig the "purchase Foundry slots" idea - I'd say make them roughly the same price as character slots, since they could be massive things. Give Golds a set number of them, Silvers none by default, and have everyone buy them like character slots - you delete a mission, you can make another one in that "slot" (thought it might need something like a 24-hour "cleaning" period.)

We are decided then. Nagus will have to go to the official forum and tell them what the Free Forum has agreed on

I paid for some things but am waiting until later this year to splurge on two more character slots and other things. I'm not a high budget is there player but feel its good to buy things. One thing they did wrong IMHO is the Serpent Lantern mission pack for free after not getting past Viper X after several tries with my Inventor, and not even close to hurting him I quit. And now I'm not likely to buy any of them unless they become more solo friendly and I know I can complete them with one character. Why buy things if they are not going to be a good investment and fun?

At least that's how I've always thought of them.... I don't think I ever even considered running it alone.... I think even top end builds would have some trouble. Heck I've done it in groups twice and haven't even reached Viper X. It's just taken too long to do.

I solo the adventure packs on VH with any one of my 40's and most of my characters once they hit their stride at level 21, especially serpent lantern. The exceptions are low DPS characters who hit a wall when they get to Draconis and his powerful shield. Viper-X causes problems as well but I've run into several builds I've made that can't dent Draconis' shield.

I solo the adventure packs [...] ... using a Freeform build, am I right? Archetypes are intended to be more reliant on teams than Freeforms, for some content.

A shame, it seemed to have at least some interesting power ideas. If I can get it cheap I'd try the free month just to have run around with some different powerset. It had a lot of promise IMO, but for me the customization we have in CO ruined any chance of me really falling under DCUO's very limited spell. So I played the entire beta then when that ended I came back to CO. I have a sense that CO going F2P is/was definitely impacting DCUO's success, but our instance numbers are falling too... The numbers were supposed to fall, the 70 MC instances was a few weeks thing because everybody tries the new f2p. But the reality is that Super Hero MOO is a small market and now there are 3 games in the same genre. Do not expect any of the 3 to keep more than 50000 players no matter how good the companies may work.

It was a lot easier the second time round when she had Stim Pack on her Hold Out shot Which reminds me: best plea for help in-game ever: "Can anyone come help me solo Demonflame please?"

SL is hard if you don't have a massive burst of damage - my freeform gadgeteer had a hell of a time with the final boss last night (between the root, the disable RIGHT after it, and the massive "get in a hideyhole or die!" attack, and the fact I can't use TP while disabled...)
I had a friend log in and help me, and we jumped up 10 levels to kill everything. Good times.

Solo'd with Specialist, Savage, Glacier, Void and Behemoth as well on PTS.
