Hey folks, I started Lemuria last night and I'm having trouble with the subs - they are there, I can click on them, but they are invisible so kinda hard to escort or in the case of the behemoth's hard to enter. The Minnow - Invisible The Nigiri - Invisible (and it's oxgen tank too!) Behemoth Subs - Invisible I was reading on the official forums ( forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=115202) that someone got them to appear by turning down the graphics but I'm running a weak card so they are already down to Low for lighting and shadows so I don't really know what else I can turn down that might help. Any thoughts anyone? Or am I best braving the official forums in the one section I should be able to post in?

This has happened to me too, through random luck ended up teaming with some one that could see the Minnow. some time later on the same machine, I don't think I changed any settings, I was capable of seeing the subs. If anything I had turned some settings up.
Well I have two-three ideas on what you can try. First, team up with a friend that does see the subs. Two, not sure if this will work, but leave Lemuria and try going back at another time. Third, make some small changes to various video settings IE. slide one option up, check for subs, slide it down, slide the next one up, repeat.

Tried dropping the sliders and even dropping everything to low or 20% and the subs still didn't show up. Also tried log in/log out, MC and back and combinations of both.
I've got target nearest friendly on keybind and that got me through The Minnow and The Nigiri missions but I'm gonna have to get help from a sighted companion for the Sea Slug one (my eyes are dim, I cannot see, I have not brought my specs with me).
Anyway, this is another good reason for getting a new PC, hope the wife appreciates this logic!

For me, it was a setting that I actually had to raise. I believe it refers to FX. If you keep the settings low enough, you can't see several things - cars when you lift them, bloodfly swarms, and the subs. Raising that setting by itself probably won't hurt you too much in Lemuria - it's got a lower player population than other areas.

Managed it, there's a On/Off radio dial in advanced settings saying something like "show/display high graphic objects" obvious when you think about it really.....

Did you try dialing everything up? Granted you'll get a slideshow on a weakcard but did you test it to see if the subs at least showed that way?
I ask this because I've never seen the subs be invisible but I'm running a fairly powerful system with everything dialed to 11 so to speak.
Edit: And I see you did. Really need to finish reading the entire thread. Sigh, where's my coffee.

It took me a couple frustrating hours to realize you need to turn your Visual Effects quality up to at least medium. That solved it for me, and I filed a bug report when it happened. I guess they haven't fixed it yet...

I could make a long list of all of the things I cannot "see" on CO. Even on simple mission. It's only thanks to the Wiki that I finally know what a Qularr pod looks like. www.champions-online-wiki.com/wiki/File:Qularr_Pod.jpgOn my PC they are just shadows on the ground with an object that can be clicked and/or attacked. I still don't know what a Qularr Communication Console looks like. To me, it's a yellow paint smear that makes alien tech noises when I get close enough. And spaeking of sounds... Sometimes I have to click around to find an object, but luckily, many of these invisible objects also have sounds associated with them and that helps... ...a little. Using my headphones, and if I listen carefully, I can spin my toon slowly to find the direction of a given invisible object that needs to be interacted with. I can then slowly make my way toward the sound until a bar pops up that allows my toon to interact with an object. Yup. A lot of this game is a mystery to me. And much of it seems rather random. Mailboxes and trash cans are invisible in the tutorial, but can be seen easily in Mill city.
