I have just returned to the game after a long hiatus to find that everything has changed from last I played. I am a returning lifetime member and I had a FF build idea I want to run by you.
Now I love being a tank in general, being able to survive anything the game throws at me. I am also a fan of the Telepathy/Telekinesis powerset.
My question is this, is it possible to make a ranged tank just using these sets, or would it be too difficult based off of the available power list? Would running Invul work better then running LR, PFF or Defiance? Is it a better option to run pets vs non pets in the build? (Allowing the damage to come from them and you mostly do control)
Thank you again for your time, and I look forward to your feedback.

Thank you very much! It feels good to be back in the game. Well I can adapt to either play style, as mobs themselves would be split into ranged and melee (not sure the proper ratio). Each have their advantages and disadvantages, but in the end I like being a distance away from the mob itself (a habit of being a mage in WoW). Though if a melee build has a higher chance of survivability, then I would be comfortable going to that.
My goals that I am looking for in a tank are as following: 1) The ability to survive current world content 2) Something that would be self sufficient
I can't recall off the top of my head if there are more, but I am sure that I just can't recall them right now.
I remember in the past pet builds used to be really well designed, its a shame to hear that it is no longer the case.

I appreciate the response and I will take a look at those builds when I get the change.
I really missed this game, and I want to thank you one more time for your help.

@chriswolf09
Would I not need to swap out the Super Stats if I will be running the Psydagger as a tank for example? Or would it still function as a tank with its current layout minus adding Invul, and the challenge advantages?

Criswolf09I managed to give both builds a try and I have to say I love each of them. The EGO based one can survive and do more damage due to the Tele debuffs. The CON based one can control the battlefield more and allows me to survive larger groups of enemies. I have always been a fan of the Mind based powerset even from the beginning, as I find it different from the others and it suits the theme of my super hero ideas. I have always wished that there was a radiation powerset, though one can be built using current powers that are available.
