Recently Steam has put the game "Max Payne 3" on sale at a price so low that it's difficult not to buy it. Do NOT buy this game from Steam, it's a scam! What Steam is actually selling is a corrupted version of the game that will freeze into a black screen at startup and freeze up your whole computer with it. And all that while Rockstar is already on denial about the magnitude of issue, claiming it's only happening to "few people" while the Steam forums are crowded with people reporting the problem. It's clear Rockstar has no intention to do anything about a problem they don't even acknowledge it exist, and sadly I was among the suckers that fell for it. So I'm posting this to warn any fellow Steam users here to steer clear of this ripoff. steamcommunity.com/app/204100/discussions/0/Notice the amount of threads of people requesting help with the problem on Steam's forums! I tried ALL of the suggested solutions to the problem and neither me nor anyone I saw on the forums could solve it. This problem only affects new players, so people who purchased the game earlier don't need to worry about it, and all I have to say is shame on Steam and Rockstar.

This is not the only game with problem on Steam, the last problem I had was when bought the "Sleeping Dogs" a while ago in a promotion and the game always bug at the loading screen - infinitum looping, no matter what pc I try to run it; and I'm not the only one with this problem. Steam support tells me to get in touch with Square Enix and they direct me to Steam ...
Not to mention several other products missing updates, wrong patch, corrupted files etc. For example "Silent Storm" has a bug that prevents you from finishing the last mission (the GOG version works normally); "Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic II" also has severals bugs at key points that prevent you from proceeding the gameplay (again, the GOG version works normally).

Sounds like Rockstar Social Club is ******* up...again. Sigh. So tired of these DRMs on top of other DRMs.

And it's really amazing how Rockstar (and Steam for that matter) gets away with these things. There seems to be so little to protect consumers in the internet, yet hilariously, the government ignore this while claiming the industries are under attack by pirates when in reality piracy is, by a great margin, the end result of the abuses these corporations do on all of us. Rockstar can go to hell for all I'm concerned, and I seriously hope they go bankrupt one day, I'll be laughing my butt off if that happens. Sounds like Rockstar Social Club is ******* up...again. Sigh. So tired of these DRMs on top of other DRMs. Good point, I'm kind of wondering when is that crap gonna get old, like you, I just don't see any logical reasons at all of why we should have a DRM right on top of the DRM in which we purchased the game to begin with.
