Since I updated to the new vga driver (gForce 460gtx se) I m having serious problems in my PC. When playing games the keyboard just stops responding any key except ctrl+alt+del, once in the desktop everything works fine but i must kill the game and reopen it otherwise the game keeps ignoring keyboard. The game does not crash, I have even managed to finish an Alert using my mouse, in CO it happened randomly 3 or 4 times yesterday night. In The Secret World world it happens more often, almost everytime I enter combat. Also in TSW, the settings window is gone, when I click options it just does nothing but captures my mouse someway and I must press Esc several times to free it (as if the windows was there but invisible). I have already tried to install the previous version, but it continues happening.
Anybody experiencing this problem?

I don't have hardware input problems like that, but I do have a whole slew of issues with the newest drivers.
The first is constant crashing. I mean the drivers themselves crash all the time. Suddenly my screen will go black and then a popup will inform me that the Nvidia drivers have crashed and had to be recovered. This happens at least 2-3 times a day. Never had this happen ever.
The second is constant game freezes and full on PC lockups. Everything will be fine and then suddenly the game stops and I have to shut it down in the task manager. Sometimes though I can't even bring up the task manager since the whole damn thing locked up. Have to hardboot and when I turn it back on, what do I see? A nice message informing me there was an error with the Nvidia drivers. Lovely.
I haven't rolled back yet since I'm still fiddling with it, but I'm just about at the point where I'm going to have to do that.

Not sure if this helps, but whenever an update to such drivers come I always first fully delete the drivers and then restart in safe mode and finally install from there. Also this might be unrelated, but it's always important to clean your registry every once in a while, especially after you installed/deleted things. I use CleanMyPC - Registry Cleaner. It's a godsend and really makes a difference.

I'll have to give that a try. Also I've been using that new-ish GeForce Experience software that Nvidia put out a while ago and have been updating through that. Wondering if maybe that program is installing them wrong or something.

For years I installed my drivers manually but took a look at GeForce Experience because I liked the idea of having a one-stop program that could configure my graphics settings for optimal play for a lot of my games. I recently stopped using it because it never performed any of the functions it advertised. It would never optimize my graphics settings for the games it was compatible with, it never performed an actual clean install of new drivers and it was a resource hog while it was running. It looked pretty but ended up being bloatware with nVidia stickers all over it. At least in my experience.
As for driver issues, I can't say I've had any problems. I've also not been playing anything overly graphic intensive recently either. Mostly CO, with some Skyrim and Bejeweled 3. Each of which I've tweaked manually to give good performance and not melt.

I suspected that GeForce Experience maybe cause of the problem, because of the lack of Setting windows in TSW, the game I "optimized" using GeForce Experience, but after optimization it works worse than before. I'll follow your advices and remove everything in Safe-mode and only install the driver this time. About cleaning the registry: my AVG claims to do that but I'll try that tool too just in case.

I solved the problem with the new Beta Driver (only driver non other nvidia software). For TSW I had to delete the UI folder and patch it again. Now everything works Ok. Thanks for the help!
