So I posted this on the main forums, but I thought I might post it here too and see if I can get a little more feedback. I'm trying to build a tk blades/regen build. I have one other freeform who is a heavy weapons/invincible hero. I wanted to try something different. Here are the points I'm trying to hit with this build: Firstly, I wanted to see just how far regen can be pushed. When I first fought Ao'Quephoth in alerts, I found him to be negh unkillable. Any damage we did quickly vanished. This got me to think of trying to replicate this feel in my new character. Secondly, once I had a backstory for the character, I decided that I wanted her attacks to have a fire theme. Still I wanted something more intelligent than straight up fire, so I decided re-colored tk blades produced a better result. Plus with id blades, it looks awesome. Still I want to have decent damage if possible. This is what I've come up with so far. Any advice? EDIT: Updated with suggested changes. For more DPS directed I would go with something like this. You did not mention if you would be PVP with the toon, so this is just PVE. PowerHouse (Link to this build)Name: Delphic DragonArchetype: FreeformSuper Stats:Level 6: Ego (Primary)Level 10: Recovery (Secondary)Level 15: Dexterity (Secondary)Talents:Level 1: The SoldierLevel 6: IndomitableLevel 9: TirelessLevel 12: AgileLevel 15: ShooterLevel 18: WordlyLevel 21: ImpresarioPowers:Level 1: Ego Blade (Incisive Wit)Level 1: Ego Weaponry (Rank 2, Siphoning Strikes)Level 6: Ego Blade Frenzy (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 8: Regeneration (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 11: Mental Discipline (Rank 2, Rank 3, Id Blades)Level 14: Void ShiftLevel 17: Parry (The Elusive Monk)Level 20: Ego ReverberationLevel 23: Evasive Maneuvers (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 26: Field SurgeLevel 29: Ego Blade BreachLevel 32: Ego Blade Annihilation (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 35: Ego Surge (Rank 2, Nimble Mind)Level 38: Circle of Ebon WrathTravel Powers:Level 6: Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 35: TeleportationSpecializations:Ego: Mental Endurance (1/3)Ego: Force of Will (2/2)Ego: Aggression (2/2)Ego: Exploit Opening (2/2)Ego: Sixth Sense (3/3)Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)Vindicator: Initiative (2/2)Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (3/3)Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)Warden: Ruthless (2/2)Warden: Tenacious (2/2)Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)Parry+EM will give you some dodge/avoidance without detracting from your dps. You can always take Slight of Mind to wipe threat. Then hit your Field Surge/or Masterful Dodge, then lunge back into the fight. EBB is a good debuff, tap it, then charge EBA You need debuffs at higher levels. You have 2 damage resistance debuffs in this build EBB & Initiative. CoEW you can trade out with what ever you like, but it's a nice boost to your dps, and fear is always a killer debuff.

For a full blown BAMF with off tanking capability and still be ok to solo. (but not a full tank) PowerHouse (Link to this build)Name: Delphic DragonArchetype: FreeformSuper Stats:Level 6: Ego (Primary)Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)Level 15: Presence (Secondary)Talents:Level 1: EnergizedLevel 6: WordlyLevel 9: ImpresarioLevel 12: Lasting ImpressionLevel 15: Amazing StaminaLevel 18: Sniper TrainingLevel 21: Command TrainingPowers:Level 1: Ego Blade (Incisive Wit)Level 1: Ego Weaponry (Rank 2, Crippling Challenge)Level 6: Ego Blade Frenzy (Rank 2, Unnerving Rage, Challenging Strikes)Level 8: Regeneration (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 11: Ego ReverberationLevel 14: Void Shift (Emerging Nightmares, Nailed to the Ground)Level 17: Ebon Void (Rank 2, Rank 3, Voracious Darkness)Level 20: Ego Blade BreachLevel 23: Ego Blade Annihilation (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 26: CompassionLevel 29: Circle of Primal Dominion (Rank 2, Rank 3)Level 32: Ego Surge (Nimble Mind)Level 35: RebirthLevel 38: Implosion EngineTravel Powers:Level 6: Flight (Rank 2)Level 35: TeleportationSpecializations:Ego: Mental Endurance (1/3)Ego: Force of Will (2/2)Ego: Aggression (2/2)Ego: Exploit Opening (2/2)Ego: Sixth Sense (3/3)Sentinel: Torment (2/2)Sentinel: Sentinel Aura (3/3)Sentinel: Rejuvenated (3/3)Sentinel: Wither (2/2)Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)Warden: Ruthless (2/2)Warden: Elusive (2/2)Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)First changing for Rec to PRE. Will boost healing, will it boost the healing of Regen, should! Now add Pre, Regen, and Sentinel Aura and you heal like Wolverine or Deadpool. Ebon Void w/adv R3 = insane tanking ability, and your way to Regen back up. Make sure you keep you stacks of Voracious Darkness up by taping shield to refresh them. Compassion will boost your healing and damage per stack, and you should always have a full stack, because you gain a stack when you heal and you have Regen and Sentinel Aura. CoPD R3 this + you EB are you defense that will keep you in the fight vs cosmics. The prevention of knocks and holds almost replaces the tanking need to have SS Con + Str. Rebirth is always good for a tank because normal when the tank dies, everyone dies. In the Sentinel Tree, Rejuvenated will give you energy every 2sec. Should take care of any energy issues along with your Ego Reverb. No need to SS Rec Some changes you could make if you like. Ice Cage w/sub-zero cellblock is great as an interrupt. Handy for tanking and PVP. In the Warden Tree, Elusive could be changed out for Slaughter to give you more agro on your combo/ crippling challenge. This build should be a hoot to play

Firstly, recovery is not a necessary stat for telekinesis using ego reverberation, it is that good, however you do need to stack to 300 EGO to achieve energy efficiency (300 ego + 20 rec from talents will jump it to 46 energy return). With that in mind, you can go for higher DPS through crits using Ego/Dex/Con.
Here is the specialisations I would recommend to you
Specializations: Ego: Force of Will (2/2) Ego: Insight (3/3) Ego: Follow Through (3/3) Ego: Sixth Sense (2/3) Warden: Fortified Gear (2/3) Warden: Slaughter (3/3) Warden: Ruthless (2/2) Warden: The Best Defense (3/3) Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2) Vindicator: Merciless (3/3) Vindicator: The Rush of Battle (2/3) Vindicator: Focused Strikes (3/3) Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)
The +offense specs are really too little to waste points on. Insight reduces your range cost considerably for your telekinetic maelstrom, though I would recommend telekinetic eruption unranked with enhanced form advantage. That will provide you with a decent aoe and knock that scales with your ego stacking, and 30s of increased dps and defense. Maelstrom causes massive lag because it generates tens of rock debris for each target hit, and can be problematic for some.
The other adjustments simply optimises your offense vs defense numbers, and with dex as a SS to achieve 50% crit base with sixth sense, provides you with a 100% guaranteed crit for siphoning strikes when you stack 5 ego leech to significantly increase your survivability.
I would also recommend Ego Blade Breach with accelerated metabolism over Ego Blade Annihilation to cater for tap spams, as it's a means of dps and your energy return while maintaining 5 ego leech for your ego weaponry.
For the shield, force shield would be a better choice, provides a similar benefit in force sheathe except it gives you extra energy which conveniently scales with ego, and coloring it makes it look like a burning sun.
You may also want to pick up an unranked Circle of primal domination as a knock resist.
Personally I would drop ego surge and pick up masterful dodge, this build has enough crit chance to crit half the time or more. Since you will be gearing for cost discount and without SS int to reduce ego surge's cooldown, the benefit is minimal. It frees up a power and 4 points. You can pick up the advantage on resurgence for break free strength, or if you still have spare power points pick up an unranked ascension as a breakfree and second emergency heal. It's heal is only slightly lesser than resurgence, it's almost par. That option allows you to only spend points to rank up atheletics/superspeed, more convenient for melee and have a 12s flight to overcome obstacles when needed. Ascension + Masterful dodge activated at the same time is an incredible emergency save.

First off thank you for all the response. This has definitely gotten me looking at different angles of how to approach this build.
So I've got a couple of thoughts I want to run by you.
What would be the best approach to beefing up the defenses around regen?
Something else I've been thinking about, what if I flipped it around and went with an offensive passive but something like Con and Sentry spec trees for defense/regen? Never mind: That totally didn't work. Seems I'm better off with a defensive passive+crit based damage.
Also, I've been researching an it seems regeneration doesn't scale with presence.
Edit: Still playing around with things. My other freeform is a Dex/Con/Rec Heavy Weapons/Invulnurability build, so I'm trying to make this one different. The hard part is I'm something of a centrist player (I think I own every hybrid archetype there is) so I like to strike a balance between offense/defense. The only brawler I've liked so far has been the Unleashed.

You sir, are amazing! I tried your suggestions and they worked brilliantly. I don't quite have her up to 300 ego (and she feels a little power starved at the moment) but that didn't stop her from ripping through the holograms in the battle simulator. I'm updating my build in the first post to reflect the changes.
