I seriously hate that one, unless they include a cheap dye restore system like through a smith store. I think you are totally right time will tell. After all this posts I wonder if we have combinced kenpo, how about it chief, Did we sell it to you? Silly scorcherofthorns, we sold him on it two pages ago! HAHA My bad, never underestimate the power of my ADD!!!!

Paypal transfer is already in and I'm ready to pre-purchase the game! ...Unfortunately, the system is a buggy mess. - If I try to purchase the game from the GW2 site, I get an error message at the end telling me "An error occurred finalizing your purchase"
- I checked the NCSoft site to see if I could buy it from there. The game wasn't up there, only a link that redirects me to the buggy GW2 site.
- I tried to contact support at the GW2 site, I'm told I need to create a "support account".
- I try to create said account, they tell me my e-mail is already in their system.
- I try my NCSoft account. It doesn't work. It turns out I already had an account using my own email as a user name (not sure how, since I never created one), and had to reset my password to even access it (since I had no clue what it was, given I never created a support account in the GW2 site to begin with, and my NCSoft account didn't work).
- I finally try to submit my support ticket. I get an automated responce essentially telling me they're getting so many requests for information they're not likely to answer mine, and provide links to sites they hope could answer my questions (which I had already visited before, and didn't), with an additional option of "I still need support" in case they don't.
Long story short. I guess I'm going to have to actually visit a store and buy the game from a retailer

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you won't have so many problems getting a physical copy, too. XD

Yeah i'm gonna wait for the physical copy too, I just don't like buying anything but that, I'm a collector, I need my stuff to be physical.

Will there be some sort of demo or trial version? I'd like to see if my system can run it decently

Will there be some sort of demo or trial version? I'd like to see if my system can run it decently I doubt it, not anytime soon anyway. I don't think there was ever a demo or trial of the first Guild Wars. I could be wrong but I've never heard of one. Most games wait a few months to a year before putting out their demo/trial.

Closest thing to a demo you're like to see (before the "few months to a year" Farmer alluded to) is the beta. Most mmo's these days start their open beta anywhere between 1 to 3 weeks before launch, pretty much what Tera and Diablo III are doing right now. I'm sure with all of GW2's hype, fanbase and very real potential for awesomeness, word will travel at ludicrous speed of open beta dates, and even ways of getting closed beta keys. Just keep an eye out- follow them on facebook and that should give you fairly quick access to any websites that are having beta key giveaways; or if nothing else, keep an eye on this thread, as I'm sure people will mention such things as well.

I still haven't. the only thing I've gotten was the email telling us we could participate if we prepurchased. The mass mail that went out to the newsletter subscribers.
edit:
They must be reading this thread. About 45 seconds after this post I got the email.
edit 2:
Though now it's rejecting any and every password I would have used to set up the account...
