I was looking for clarification between going from silver to gold to silver. While I had gotten some initial replies, looks like the mods didn't like the thread and its since disappeared, not even locked, just straight deleted....
Guess they don't want us figuring out its cheaper to go gold for a month and reap the benefits instead of spending so much on CP individually.
Managed to find it the next day - didn't appeared to be modified.
User error on my part. Thought my search for my posts was a bit more thorough, probably had wrong subheading or somethin.

My guess Kenpo, is he's referring to the known fact that you can get the boxed edition (and generally even 60 day cards) cheaper than buying the time direct from Cryptic.
If a person buys a single month of Gold for a Silver account they get at minimum: 1 Stipend (some boxed editions come with the same number of tokens just for redeeming) 1 Free Hideout The extra character slots a Gold account gets Ability to buy some in-game things with resources for the month
These features combined make going Gold for one month generally a cheaper proposition than buying the number of points to do the same on a pure Silver account.
Still, I can't imagine they would try and shut down a thread stating that since I'm certain I've seen it around the forums in a few places already.

A little clarification from the OP would be nice since I honestly can't get any bit of information about what he's talking about from the first post. I'm pretty sure the post I linked is the one he's talking about and he just checked the wrong section for it when he was trying to find it again. He even mentions the same "going gold to silver to gold" phrase in it.

Yeah my mistake - I did a search and it never came up - but I just saw the thread now.
I thought I had set the search for my posts to look throughout all of the forums.

Newest is the free series 1 hideout. I know I snagged a cheap boxed edition off Amazon to get some extras for my Supergroup account. Best part was it turned out to be the Gamestop edition so I got the anti-grav boots without having to spend the extra couple bucks for them.

Me too! I thought the same HAHAHA! We can't be blamed for being hungry to find out whatever trick is out there, though it seems we know it all already in regards to this issue. Sigh....
