I think it was more for extra threat generation while I use Brimstone/Aftershock for the passive energy regen with feed on flames. I'm not really concerned with the AE threat much, stuff doesn't live long enough for that to be an issue, but it saves me from having to worry about dropping threat in favor of proccing an aftershock.

Sweet I totally support the tanking guide idea, btw. Would be handy as mentioned. Anywho, I'll be retconning my tank soon enough, so I'll test out what you show me here and maybe switch up a couple things for flavor assuming that it changes very little of the build in terms of effectiveness. Obviously I'll ask opinions on things too.

Hey guys, Don't mean to necro a thread or anything, but this topic caught my eye as earlier today I was working on my HW tank (which I got to 40 a few hours ago) and would love to get some feedback on it as well. It's sort of a concept/theme but hopefully it's viable for PvE. Con/Pre > Str > Int Build by championBuilder 0.4.1Download this Build here.: Level 40 Champion: ValkyriaSuperstats:Level 6: Super ConstitutionLevel 13: Super PresencePowers:Level 1: BludgeonLevel 1: Cleave -- Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging StrikesLevel 6: Decimate -- Nailed to the GroundLevel 6: Fire Flight -- Rank 3, Rank 2Level 8: DefianceLevel 11: Annihilate -- Rank 2, Crippling ChallengeLevel 14: Aggressor -- Rank 2, Rank 3Level 17: Thermal ReverberationLevel 20: Energy Shield -- Laser KnightLevel 23: Conviction -- Rank 3, Rank 2Level 26: Flashfire -- Sweltering HeatLevel 29: Avalanche -- Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging StrikesLevel 32: Inertial Dampening FieldLevel 35: Lock N Load -- Two Smoking BarrelsLevel 35: TeleportLevel 38: Protection Field -- Rank 2Single Target: Anni + Cleave + Flashfire. Keeps enrage up and layers threat. Multiple Targets: Flashfire + Avalanche. Orange avalanche looks like burning meteors, chose this over Conflagration because it has access to CS, which Conflag doesn't. But seeing how things don't live that long anyways, might change it to Conflag for extra damage and Clinging Flames Lock N Load: I typically don't use any active defenses, but holds annoy me a lot. So LnL here for a hold-breaker every 40 seconds or so. What do you guys think? Thanks

I'd take Resurgence instead of LnL unless you also want the damage boost from LnL. The reasoning behind this one is because Resurgence is also a rather large heal. Sure the CD on it is kinda sucky, but it beats having something use your corpse as a floor mop. It's basically my oh %$^@ button, although I'm sure Water may have more to say on that one. Also, don't sweat Necroing an old thread, it's here for a reason, so use it as you need it.
