I played around a bit with the electricity framework, and came to wonder why you didn't include Electrocute w/ Superconductor in this build. Wouldn't that raise Lightning Arcs damage considerably (with Never strikes twice on Lightning Arc)? A few reasons. 1) I have to spend time to charge electrocute to hold a target when I could be doing damage. Nearly 2 second charge doing no damage vs 4 ticks of lightning arc in the same time period. 2) Anything I can't already kill outright (and thus could benefit having it debuffed) is hold immune. A power point and then 3 adv. points just for a debuff on weaker holdable targets wasn't worth it with the damage I can already put out. Tanks I've run with already can't hold aggro unless I stall my attack rotations to stay behind their threat generation.

So no .. it wouldn't raise your damage, it would only gimp it

It's me again with another question (sorry . If you wanted some burst-damage and alpha-strike capability in this build at the cost of a bit less sustained damage, would it be possible to include Gigabolt instead of Sigils of the Primal Storm or Sparkstorm and SS Rec instead of End to get a higher equilibrium? Do you think the build would still work? Ionic Reverb scales from Rec too but of course you would lose the secondary energy benefits from End.

You could do that, but you'd gimp your overall damage in several ways just to add a burst attack. 1) The sigils with imbue and my stats at level 40 are hitting same level targets for around 1K, per sigil, per tic. 2) Sparkstorm consumes negative ions. Combining it with Ball Lightning is one of the ways you ensure that your energy never drops so maintaining a high equilibrium is a non-issue and having near infinite energy does wonders for your damage. If you're going to drop anything, drop IDF. I'm actually redoing the build myself to drop IDF in favor of another heal for my playstyle.

The change applies diminishing returns if multiple people on a team are all running IDF. For a soloist it's exactly as it was before.

Hopefully my last post here. Finally found a slight variation of your build that seems to work despite my amateur changes to it. I really wanted to get Gigabolt in there because that skill is so much fun and sometimes is situationally better than storm (narrow hallways for example). I replaced Resurgence and Force Shield with Support Drones and Gigabolt (had to cut some ranks from Unbreakable too). The energy from Force Sheath seemed overkill, and I don't like relying on things to hit me for energy anyway. For testing I cleared all 3 Bunkers in SL Elite on PTS with the new setup and never hurt for energy at all. Ionic Reverb is awesome. I do miss the emergency heal from resurgence, but I wouldn't have advantage points left to rank it anyway. The build is a bit squishy, but with the support drones I had absolutely no problem soloing the DEMON guys on powerhouse 5man/hard. They die so fast anyway. Now that I've played with the Imbue/Sigils combo I can't imagine losing them anymore, they melt everything. I'm having a really fun time leveling this, thanks for this great build. Just out of interest, would you mind posting your new version when you're done tweaking your build?

This is an amazing build. Started from lvl 1 a week ago. i'm lvl 23 now and this is the most fun i've had in some time.
Just a question. I love the effect of the Energy Shield. Is it a good replacement for the Force Shield?

Just a question. I love the effect of the Energy Shield. Is it a good replacement for the Force Shield? You'd be cutting a source of energy out of the build by doing that and the advantage of the energy shield is based on melee, something this build doesn't do. You'd also lose the advantage of having the block persist for a few seconds after you stop blocking. So no it's not a 'good' replacement for the force shield but it wouldn't destroy the build if you swapped it for thematic look. You'd save 2 adv points which I'd look at putting into IDF to boost the defence you just lost.

What power could be a good replacement for sparkstorm. I don't like the knock back of it.
And another question, is the advantage stolen thunder of lightning storm worth it. Or should i stay with rank 3.

Or should i stay with rank 3. -You can put anything in for sparkstorm that you want. I use it as free energy against unknockable bosses since it repeatedly applies and consumes negative ions on them. -If you're having survivability issues in your build use stolen thunder to knock targets down. If not, R3.
