It is time to get creative. Write a story about how your character joined Project Nightfall following a simple guide line: - Project Nightfall is not a famous group like the Champions are, but they're not underground either. You could say it is sort of a whisper that is meant to reach specific individuals.
- They're not the X-Men either so don't go First Class with your origin story (uniform color is a coincidence)
- Master Mind is the main leader of the group, she's a telepath (Mind AT) and has a bodyguard named Lost Airman (Behemoth AT) who survived a plane crash and was rescued by S.E.C.R.E.T.
- Red Ace Diamond is usually squad leader in missions (Soldier AT) and is able to recruit people too.
- No lone wolves in this group (no Wolverine's, I'm so tough I rather go on my own bub) this is a team oriented group.
- The group isn't too old, the original members are Master Mind, Lost Airman and Red Ace Diamond.
Check the first page for character images, uniform details and other things. If you want to go further back and create an origin story of your toon before his/her time with Nightfall you're welcomed to do so. The more I know about your character the better. If you want to include other members of Nightfall in your story feel free to do so but run your idea with their creator first. For example Lost Airman met Buggy when he had the plane crash. She was part of the S.E.C.R.E.T. Agents on location. Any questions feel free to ask. P.S. If you rather RP (Role Play) your origin story here you can do that. Get in touch with the people you need and create a title for that role play. Everyone replying should change the subject to the appropriate title. For Example Ashes of a Torch which could tell the story of how Torchlight came to be.

The tale of Aegis:
The name is Aegis, I am human, and part something else. My tale begins some time ago while working as a police officer in England. One fateful day changed my life as I know it.
A situation occurred where in the line of duty I was the only thing between an innocent victim and her attacker. Selflessly I sacrificed myself for her and threw myself into the path of some strange beam emanating from the weapon the assailant had had.
In a strange twist of fate my badge reflected the majority of the beam back at the attacker and felled him as I was to find out later but I suffered from the beam as well. By body was destroyed so to speak, nerves fried and muscles rendered useless by the mysterious weapon. The victim survived to my relief , but that is all I remember of that moment.
I awoke once more, almost 6 months later near Millennium City just as the Qularr attack was taking place. I was different, my flesh had been replaced by metal and what remained of me was melded with something else to keep me alive. I was left a message in my memory that explained some of what transpired and explained what I am now and why.
In short, my new form was a gift for saving someone very important who apparently was not of this world. For me to live they had to do what needed to be done to my old body. I was returned to earth where they thought I would once more be best needed to save another who might be in need.
To this day, I don’t know who I saved or who the attacker was, but all i know is I was that persons shield that day. In the end they made sure I would be an unbreakable shield,
an Aegis against evil for the innocent.

What's the story of Project Nightfall anyway? I do have some sort of "origin" story for the group (or rather the reason Master Mind decided to create a group) If you feel more comfortable working an origin story based on why there was a need for the group, then I shall post that first when I have some time (I was hoping that starting tomorrow I would have my summer vacation but no, IDK if I'll even have one)

I've finished my origins story, I need a general summary of why Nightfalls would have picked up my character into their team. :]

Origins- Ever since he lost his family to horrible side effects of becoming irradiates, this Millenium City scientist dedicated his life to finding a cure. He found place under several companies such as PRIMUS and Dew Company working on cures and super serums. In his research, he was able to procure the data used in the possible creation of Grond. Finding the cure was close, but all his hard work would never come to fruition. His laboratory was attacked by a villainous faction after his research. But knowing that his early serums might be enough to regenerate his wounds, he took the risk and injected himself with it. Rage. Destruction. He sent the attackers retreating after nearly annihilating the whole unit. He destroyed his laboratory, and nearly all the remained of his humanity. There were only traces of his memory of his family which subdued his rage- of course PRIMUS’ forces. He was larger than most mutates, a tad smaller than Grondlings, and acquiring a monstrous appetite from the transformation, this new irradiate was aptly given the nickname Grub. When he isn’t looking for a cure for irradiates, he helps the rest of humanity in fighting the good fight. Project Nighfall- Grub’s appetite, expertise, and superhuman powers took him everywhere. He fought thugs, high tech armies, and demons, sending back to whatever dark corners they came from. He did fight them in the dark. His hideous features didn’t make him the most popular of rising and promising heroes, but when the night falls, he was as good as any. With his strength, knowledge in radiation, mutations, and world class culinary skills, he was recruited by Project Nightfalls to stand his ground when all hope seems lost. If he’s not in the kitchen creating exotic meals, he’s often found slaving away his time in the team laboratory, or resting in the common room watching humorous shows and films often accompanied by his trademark voluminous gargly laughter- his sense of humor becoming one of the most endearing and human quality he shares with the group.

I. Requirements1. Must be an ArchetypeDoesn't matter if your toon is a premium (C-Store bought or gold account unlocked) or silver Archetype. Whhyyyyy??? I understand the focus on archetypes, but why only them?

Whhyyyyy??? I understand the focus on archetypes, but why only them? I will answer your question with a set of questions first. 1. Do you have freeform characters? 2. How many times do you team up for Thick as Thieves or Purple Reign, maybe even Fight Club? Now to really answer your question I'm going to quote myself (even if that makes me look like an ass) the reason I want to do a SG of my own is more in terms of artistic possibilities that I can control. I'm only a member of S.E.C.R.E.T. I don't have any authority in it although I have support from the group to create events, but group is a bit too large for this particular experiment. So yea this goes beyond just having fun teaming up for most of the game content, I'm actually looking into making this group something I can work on, and with the limitations of archetypes I have better control of things. I don't have to ask you what powers does your character have, I know what powerset is available for the inferno with ease. Doesn't mean you can't use your FF toon to team up with someone from Nightfall (I've done that plenty of times) what that does mean is that your freeform toon is not canon in Nightfall's story unless the Nightfall member decides otherwise. You probably saw the Initiation post, that's literally the first part of what I hope can become something more interesting and fun until we get The Foundry. I'm always available for team ups, don't care how low the mission is. (don't like Canada's map and hate Lemuria to death but other than that I'm OK with most of the game content.)

I understand the focus on archetypes, but why only them? Knowledge: Why are you doing this to me? Joh: You know what this is man? It's classism man. You were in the wrong game with the wrong class and you just happen to fit the role. Now, if you admit you're an Archetype.... Knowledge: BUT I'M NOT AN ARCHETYPE!! Joh: Look, even if you're not an Archetype, just admit you that you're an Archetype. I promise you won't have to play alone. Team whenever you want, I promise you. Knowledge: Wait, stop this. You can't be serious. I'm a Gold player, I'm never going to fall for this (Ten minutes later)Knowledge: (sobbing) So you say if I admit I'm an Archetype, I won't have to play alone? Joh: I give you my worrrrd Knowledge: (sobbing) Team whenever I want? Joh: Team whenever you want. Knowledge: (smiles through the tears)

Sorry, Joh. My post was a parody of a scene from the TV Show "The Boondocks". I'll stay out of this thread now. ~KJ3
