... I miss that game. And my 80 Biomek Terminator, "Gravity". Just another game with great potential that was not even given a chance by their publisher to become successfull edit: adding a quote, going to make it a bit longer than what I'd normaly quote, but I think some people will get a giggle out of the extra first three sentences : "My father said that the rebellion changed everything and not just for the better. It's never that simple. Still, there is no home without freedom and we needed freedom because we wanted to make RubiKa our home. My father tought me how to use a gun. Sometimes, late at night, I wonder if I'll ever be able to put it down."my favourid game intro

Max Payne:
There was no glory in this. I hadn't asked for this crap. Trouble had come to me, in big dark swarms. The good and the just, they were like gold dust in this city. I had no illusions. I was not one of them. I was no hero. Just me and the gun, and the crook. My options had decreased to a singular course.
The trick in my situation is that there was no trick, no matter what the movies tell you. No rules, no secret mantra, no road map. It wasn't about how smart or how good you were. It was chaos and luck, and anyone who thought different was a fool. All you could do was to hang on madly, as long and hard as you could.

I honestly think they should have built the game for Mutant and Biomek only, and kept it to levels 1-60 - with no Ground Zero. All the man-hours of development spent on Humans, and on 61-80 content, could have been poured back into the Mutant andBiomek factions, and the underlaying netcode. Then, several months later, release an expansion or update that added a Human faction; make a big deal about the re-emergence of pre-War humanity. And a few months later, an update adding levels 60-80, and Ground Zero. Make a big deal about the sudden discovery of THE crater, THE source of the alien corruption ... and the race for each faction to be the one to claim the secrets of the alien wreck at it's center. *shrug*

Especially as it would be exactly how the backstory worked. I loved the story about Hestia's first emergence with the biomek seismic sensors going crazy.

"All your base are belong to us." - CATS from Zero Wing And all the stuff it has spawned: Roses are #ff0000 Violets are #0000ff All my base are belong to you etc etc. Which leads me to another quote: I'm in your base killing your dudes.

"I am Andrew Ryan, and I am here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
'No,' says the man in Washington, 'it belongs to the poor.' 'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'it belongs to God.' 'No,' says the man in Moscow, 'it belongs to everyone.'
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...
Rapture.
A city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, where the great would not be constrained by the small.
And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city, as well." ―Andrew Ryan

Anyone ever play Evil Zone on the PS1? Sooooo much awesome cheese.
"I cannot be stopped. Absolutely, positively, for the sake of the world! Here goes! The power of the Supreme Ruler destroys an evil! The ultimate hero, DANZAIVER!"
and as the same character wins a match using his special move, you see his opponent blowing up in a giant explosion as he poses and says "Evil... DESTROYED!" ;D

One of my favorite lines from Freedom Force is already here. Where the two thugs discuss science. But my other favs are all from Baldur's Gate. Minsc Evil 'round every corner. Careful not to step in any. It's all said in a near mumble. It's so funny. Many of my other favs are also Mincs' lines. No need to copy/paste them all. You can find them at the link below. en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Baldur%27s_Gate_seriesThere is another, well, it's sort of a quote, but it's not really one that an NPC says. When I create a PC for Neverwinter Nights I used a sound set called - um - Brut, Oaf or Thug or some such - for a Barbarian I was creating. The best line popped out when I expect him to carry to much. Every other PC sound set merely has the PC complain about the weight being too much, saying things like, "I'm not a pack mule," or "I'd prefer you asked another to carry this burden." They all moan and complain. Not this guy. He immediately shouts a - "What the..." There's a very brief pause followed by an equally loud and grunted. "I'm all right! I'm all right!" I would bust out laughing every time. I love that this guy takes it. Sometimes when I needed a laugh, I just put one object too heavy for him, on him, and laughat the voice acting. He earned his pay that day. ;D Edit - Did I mention that I'm easily amused?

You have died of dysentery "Come, we must press on against the tide of naughtiness. Mind your step." - Minsc "Go for the eyes boo!!" "squeek squeek!!" Best opening to a game, ever. Sets the tone perfectly and history followed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkBNKa2KXZEDuke Nukem 3d: "Damn, those alien ******** are gonna pay for shooting up my ride." "Guess again, freak show. I'm coming back to town, and the last thing that's gonna go through your mind before you die... is my size- 13 boot!" Come get some! "Shake it baby!" -- "You Wanna dance?" "My boot, your face; the perfect couple." "Your face, your ***, what's the difference?" { Possible Ford Fairlane ref , Dice Clay for sure though } Americana and Competitors game bashing galore ! Now this is a force to be reckoned with! [after discovering Luke Skywalker's corpse hanging upside down] Terminated! One of my all-time favorites (from Mass Effect 2):
Liara: "But Shepard... you were dead!"
Shepard: "I got better."
Another favorite (Xenosaga Episode 1):
KOS-MOS: "My external appearance is down 5%. Shion, I need to be cleaned."
Conversely, one of my most hated quotes (from The Darkness):
Jackie: I used to think of the subways as one big plate of spaghetti. The stations were like the meatballs...
(I ran back and forth so many times, and that same shtick was on the loading screen every single time that I just want to shoot whoever decided to put that into the game.)
