I've already seen two "Admin" actions that resemble the Brodie Gestapo that I left the CO forums to avoid... so we'll see.

To be fair, Nagus has been trying to get someone from Cryptic to post over here for ages (well, since the forum has been created).
If the atmosphere here gets too hostile, his hopes will go down the drain like corrupted Amphibian in Vibora Crisis.

Werd, the mod actions here make sense and did serve a purpose, and while the rule didn't exist yet for said admin actions, it was pretty obvious it would come and why.

Also, noone here has been banned or suspended; just a couple thread locks. So I may not especially like that particular rule, "this ain't MY house" and all. And the enforcement has certainly been as light as possible, and still be enforcement - so I can't find fault with that at all. Besides, we could all log on to CO and have a gigantic *censored*-and-moan session on the /global, if we really wanted. Edit to add: /me makes mental note of where the forum's profanity-censoring software draws the line, and adjusts for future posts.  |
