Guide Overview
Hello guys and girls, today I bring you a new and updated guide for the Inventor Archetype. So what does this hero do? This hero is a Support hero that has abilities to debuff enemies and boost their allies using strange inventos with secondary effects.
This is a premium Archetype that can be purchased by Silver Players from the Zen Store or is free for Lifetime Subscribers
This Archetype can be obtained for free by gathering 750 Foxbat Cred during the Foxbatcon Event in April to unlock from the Store of Merchant Vendor
Main Mechanics:
1. Random Effects: Experimental Blast and Experimental Burst Ray have odd and wacky strange effects that will debuff enemies or even apply Crowd Control effects.
2. Pets: This hero has access to 3 pet summon powers that will help us in the fight and even restore our health points.
3. Disorient: This debuff is present on Experimental Burst Ray as one of its strange effects. Disorient lowers the enemy's damge by 15% and movement speed by 25% for 12 seconds.
4. Stun: This effect is present on Experimental Blaster or Sonic Device. Stunned targets are unable to perform any actions for 2 seconds and this is a Crowd Control effect.

Power Explanation
Level 1 - Sonic Blaster: This is our energy builder power that doesn't need to be ranked up in order to generate energy for us so I recommend leaving it at rank 1. The special advantage of this power is called Refraction of Sound that will transform this power in a small area of effect attack cone.
Level 1 - Experimental Blaster: This power will deal Particle damage to a single target and has random effects. If charged less than a second has a 35% chance to deal additional damage, if charged for more than a second the blast has a 25% chance to Knock up the enemy for a small distance, 15% chance to Confuse the target for 18 seconds making the target attack foes or allies at random, and a 15% chance to Stun the target for 2 seconds. In very rare cases the this power will transform the target into a living pink teddy bear, with lots of damage resistance. The special advantage of this power is called Death Ray that will give this power a 1% chance to kill the target in a burst of acidic flames. This effect can only affect targets of Henchmen, Villain, Master Villain and Enforcer but not targets that are Super Villains, Legendary Villains or Cosmic Monsters.
Level 6 - Experimental Burst Ray: This power will deal Particle damage to 5 enemies within a 50ft reach and a 30 degree cone. This weapon may cause random effects like reducing the target stats among other ailments. When charged for more than 1 second has a 25% chance to Disorient the targets. Charging it for more than 1.5 seconds will cause it to Overcharge which temporally increases the damage of the weapon, however firing the weapon while Overcharged may cause it to Overheat and it will go on cooldown before is available to use again. Overcharging this weapon may lead to unforseen consequences like transforming into Austin Powers. The special advantage of this power is called Arcturus Cooling System which increases the chance to get secondary effects and halves the duration of the Overheat effect.
Level 8 - Medical Nanites: This is our Slotted Passive which will grant us heal over time to our hero and up to 20 allies in a 100ft distance as well a moderate amount of resistance to all damage. When using the Hybrid Role the heal over time is stronger for us and minor for allies, but using the Support Role will grants us minor heal over time and a major heal over time to all allies. The portion that affects our hero scales with our Super Stats while the allied portion scales with our Presence stat.
Level 11 - Attack Toys OR Munitions Bots: This is the first choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Attack Toys: This power will summon a toy who uses kung fu moves to attack the target. The toy can replicate based on rank as well obtain a Frag Grenade, or even a Missile Launcher.
2. Munitions Bots: This power will summon a pair of Munitions Bots that use a armament to deal damage to the enemies. The Munition Bots can transform into Turrets as their custom ability and if the bots are destroyed each will release a cluster of mini mines that will deal Fire damage.
Level 14 - Concentration: This is our toggle form that will grant us stacks of Concentration which increase the ranged damage of our hero by a large amount and melee damage for a lesser amount everytime we fully charge or maintain a ranged power or attack a foe for more than 25 feet away. We can gain a stack of this form once every 4 seconds, stacks up to 8 times and the damage bonus of this form scales with our Ego or Intelligence stat, whichever is higher. Also increases our energy costs by 10%.
Level 17 - Bionic Shielding: This is a healing power that will place the Bionic Shielding buff on the target and has a number of charges that will replenish the health lost in battle for each hit our ally takes. Also when we apply the Bionic Shielding buff on the target we also apply the Bionic Tampering which will prevent the target to be affected for this buff again after 16 seconds and this is done to prevent abuse. The special advantage of this power is called Overloaded Circuits which will place an active defense system dealing Electrical damage to anyone who attacks the target of this power. Damage dealt is based on damage taken.
Level 21 - Energy Shield: This is our block replacer power that can be maintained to reduce incoming damage from foes' attacks. The feature of this block is that it has a better overall damage resistance than most block powers. Energy Shield will generate energy based on the damage taken and our Recovery stat. The special advantages of this power are the following:
a. Laser Knight: while Energy Shield is slotted our hero gains 33% resistance to all damage and 33% resistance to Knock effects everytime we perform a melee attack for 2 seconds, but melee attacks deal 10% less damage. This advantage costs 3 points. I don't recommend getting it because the Inventor has only Ranged attacks.
b. Phalanx Defense System: while Energy Shield is slotted our hero gains 33% resistance to all damage and 33% resistance to Knock effects everytime we use a Weapon System Slot (Chest, Shoulder or Hand Slots). I don't recommend getting it because this archetype doesn't have any Power Armor powers.
Level 25 - Support Drones: This power will summon a pair of drones which have two modes, in the Support mode the drones will heal our hero or a friendly target with a healing beam that becomes bigger with rank, and the Weapons Platform mode which will transform the drones into small floating blasters that will attack the target with a force bolt, a concussor beam or a force blast that will temporaly reduces the target's damage resistance for a small amount. The Platform mode is the custom ability of these pets.
Level 30 - Miniaturization Drive OR Resurrection Serum: This is the second choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Miniaturization Drive: This power will a charge to our next attack that will debuff the enemy shrinking them and lowering their damage, if they are not are not Super Villains, Legendary Villains or Cosmic Monsters. This ability is considered as an On-Next-Hit power and has a 30 seconds recharge. The special advantage of this power is called Reciprocating Gizmo which will cause our hero to grow as the enemy is shrunk as well increase our damage and travel speeds slightly.
2. Resurrection Serum: This is a revive power that will bring back to life a fallen ally within 15ft and has a recharge of 15 seconds. The special advantage of this power is called Reanimator which will replace the revive effect on allies to work on foes and resurrect them as zombies that will fight for our side for a certain amount of time. This advantage does not work on Super Villains or higher ranked targets.
Level 35 - Sonic Device OR Toxic Nanites: This is the final choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Sonic Device: This power will add a Sonic charge to our next attack that will Stun the primary target and deal additional Sonic damage. If we use this ability with an area of effect attack the damage will be reduced. This power is considered as an On-Next-Hit (we can only be affected by one of this kind of powers at a time) and its effects will expire if not used within 18 seconds. Has a recharge of 30 seconds. The special advantage of this power is called Deafening Dissolution which will reduce by 20% the damage dealt to single targets and will increase the damage dealt with area of effect powers by 80%.
2. Toxic Nanites: This power will add a Toxic charge to our next attack that will deal Toxic damage over time for a certain amount of time and its damage will be reduced if used with an area of effect attack. This power is considered as an On-Next-Hit (we can only be affected by one of this kind of powers at a time) and its effects will expire if not used within 18 seconds. Has a recharge of 30 seconds. The special advantage of this power is called Nerve Damage which will Snare the target(s) reducing their movement speed for a short time.
Level 40 - Orbital Cannon: This power will mark a 15ft area of the ground with a targeting laser and when its lights align after 4.5 seconds the targets will take massive Particle damage, and this power has a 15 seconds cooldown as well apply a stack of Plasma Burn, dealing Particle damage over time and stacks up to 5 times. The special advantage of this power is called Anvil of Dawn which will cause the laser beam of this power to continue dealing a modest amount of damage for 9 seconds and each hit now has a 40% chance to apply stacks of Plasma Burn.
