Guide Overview
Hello guys and girls, today I bring you a new and updated guide for the Predator Archetype. So what does this hero do? This hero uses Bestial claws to rend and tear oponents in close quarters as well has some regeneration abilities.
This is a premium Archetype that can be purchased by Silver Players from the Zen Store or is free for Lifetime Subscribers
This Archetype can be obtained for free by gathering 750 Elysium Coins during the rotative Nightmare Invasion to unlock from the Store of Golden Seraph
Main Mechanics:
1. Bleed: This is a Slashing damage over time debuff that deals damage once every second for 16 seconds and can be applied by many powers of this archetype. Stacks up to 5 times.
2. Shredded: This is a Slashing damage resistance debuff that lowers the enemies' resistance to this type of damage by 18% for 15 seconds.
3. Open Wound: This debuff has a 25% chance to apply stacks of Bleed, dealing Slashing damage over time once every second for 16 seconds up to 5 stacks. It is present on multiple powers of many power sets.
4. Swallowtail Cut: This is a debuff that will deal 5% of the target's health as Slashing damage over time, and is available as one of the special advantages of the Scything Blade power of the Single Blade power set. However this debuff will be replaced with the regular Bleed effect if the target is a Super Villain or higher ranked foe such as bosses.
5. Deep Wound: This is a heavy Slashing damage over time debuff applied by the Eviscerate power of Bestial Supernatural. Deep Wound will deal damage based of the Bleed stacks purged by Eviscerate and will ignore a part of the target's resistance, dodge and shield effects.

Power Explanation
Level 1 - Bestial Fury: This is our energy builder power that will deal Slashing damage and generate endurance for our hero. The special advantage of this power is called Rip and Tear! which causes all attacks of this power to have a 15% chance to apply Bleed to the target. This chance is doubled if we are affected by the Enraged buff.
Level 1 - Shred: This power is our first combo attack that will deal Slashing damage to 5 enemies within 10ft and a 30/30/240 degree cone. Shred has a 25% - 25% - 50% chance to apply Bleed to the targets and these chances are doubled if we are affected by the Enrage buff. This power has a special advantage called Penetrating Strikes which will apply the Shredded debuff to all targets upon finishing the combo.
Level 6 - Frenzy OR Venomous Breath: This is the first choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Frenzy: This power is a combo attack that will deal Slashing damage to foes within a 10ft sphere and has a 15% - 15% - 50% chance to apply Bleed to the the targets and these chances are doubled if we are affected by the Enrage buff. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Fear Sense: Gives Frenzy a 25% - 25% - 100% chance to apply the Furious buff to our hero. Furious increases our Critical Hit Chance by 1.5% for 12 seconds and when we take damage while affected by this effect we'll receive the Willpower buff which will restore 300 HP over 3 seconds. Willpower can stack up to 3 times.
b. Poison Tipped Claws: Each hit of Frenzy has a 10% - 10% - 25% chance to apply Deadly Poison (based on combo hit). These chances are doubled if we are affected by the Enrage buff. Deadly Poison deals Toxic damage over time every second for 16 seconds and is considered a Poison effect.
c. Blood on the Water: Removes 1 stack of Bleed and heals our hero for a small amount every hit.
2. Venomous Breath: This power will damage foes within 50ft in a 45 degree cone and each pulse (0.5 seconds) of the maintain has a 15% chance to apply a stack of Deadly Poison to the target. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Paralytic Bile: This power will have a chance to Stun targets hit. If the targets are Bleeding this chance becomes 100%.
b. Infectious Bile:: The chance to apply Deadly Poison of this power scales to 50% if the targets are Bleeding.
c. Locust Breath: This advantage will alter the visual effect from this power to exhale insects instead of deadly mist. Costs 0 advantage points.
Level 8 - Pestilence: This is our Slotted passive power that will boost our Toxic and Slashing damage, apply a toxic damage over time debuff to foes that attack us in melee range and we'll apply this DoT to foes if we attack them with ranged powers. Also this power will reduce the Toxic damage resistance of the foes by 2% for each stack of Poison they have as well reduce the Slashing damage resistance of them by 2% for each stack of Bleed they have. Additionally this power will reduce the effectiveness of healing effects on the targets and will also increase our resistance to Toxic damage for a large percentage.
Level 11 - Pounce: This is a movement power that will close quarters with our target dealing Slashing damage with a crossed claw slash, Snare them reducing their movement speed and Knock them down if we lunge further than 20ft and they aren't affected by a Crowd Control effect. The special advantage of this power is called Furious Rush which will apply 1 stack of Furious or refresh the duration of existing stacks.
Level 14 - Aspect of the Bestial: This is our toggle form that will grant us stacks of Enraged which increases the melee damage of our hero by a large amount and ranged damage for a lesser amount everytime we apply, refresh or rupture Bleed effects as well apply or refresh Deadly Poison. We can gain a stack of this form once every 4 seconds, stacks up to 8 times and the damage bonus of this form scales with our Strength stat. Also increases our energy costs by 10%. This power has a cosmetic advantage called Giant Growth which will cause our hero to grow for each stack of Enrage we have.
Level 17 - Massacre: This power will deal Slashing damage by assaulting our foe with a powerful slash and will also Knock them down. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Bloody Mess which will increase the base damage of this power by 30% when attacking a foe affected by either our Bleed or Deep Wound effects.
b. Open Wound: Which will apply the same named debuff to the target. Open Wound has a 25% chance to apply stacks of Bleed, dealing Slashing damage over time once every second for 16 seconds up to 5 stacks. This advantage is a type of Wound effect.
Level 21 - Antagonize OR Retaliation: This is the second choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Antagonize: This is one of our block replacer power that can be maintained to reduce incoming damage from foes' attacks. The feature of this power is that it grants two buffs Antagonized and Cornered. Antagonized is granted when we block damage more than 20ft away and this buff increases Knock resistance by 25%, Speed by 25%, Jump Height by 2.5%, and lasts for 3 seconds as well stacks up to 3 times. On the other hand this block power will grants the Cornered buff which is granted when blocking damage from less than 20ft increasing our resistance by 5% and Knock resistance by 25%, lasts for 10 seconds and stacks up to 3 times. Antagonize will generate energy based on the damage taken and our Recovery stat. The special advantage of this power is called Quills which adds a 10% chance to apply Bleed or Deadly Poison to nearby targets. Bleed deals Slashing damage over time every second for 16 seconds, stacks up to 5 times and is considered a Wound effect. Deadly Poison deals Toxic damage over time every second for 16 seconds, stacks up to 5 times and is considered a Poison effect.
2. Retaliation: This is one of our block replacer powers that can be maintained to reduce incoming damage from foes' attacks. The feature of this power is that while blocking will apply or refresh the Retaliation buff increasing the damage of our next attack for a certain percentage based on rank. Retaliation will generate energy based on the damage taken and our Recovery stat. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Punitive Pummeling: Attacks made against our hero while blocking with this power have a 100% chance to reflect the incoming damage as a Knock Back. This effect can occur at most every 10 seconds and deals no damage.
b. Indomitable: This advantage will grant an additional 5% resitance to all damage, 5% resistance to hold effects and resistance to Knock effects. This amount increases the lower your health gets, up to a 120% maximum.
Level 25 - Supernatural Power: This power is our energy unlock that will generate energy whenever a Supernatural ability (Bestial or Infernal) reduces our energy pool to 15%. The energy return of this power scales with our Recovery better than most energy unlocks.
Level 30 - Bite OR Thrash: This is the third choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Bite: This power can be charged to deal a decent amount of Slashing damage and has a 20% chance to apply Bleed. On a full charge it will rupture the Bleed stacks on the target and grant us the Consumption buff which will restore our health based on the number of stacks consumed. This effect cannot critically heal and cannot be refreshed. This power has the following special advantages.
a. Furor Venenum: Gives Bite a 20% chance to Stun foes for 2 seconds. This chance scales to 100% if they are affected by Bleed or Deadly Poison. Additionally biting a foe affected by said debuffs will apply 1 stack of Furious or refresh the duration of existing stacks.
b. Rabbies: Fully charging this power on a Poisoned target will spread their affliction to a nearby target and also grants Bite a 20% chance to apply Deadly Poison. The poison spread can occur for each type of Poison (Debilitating Poison, Noxious Poison and Deadly Poison) and this advantage will refresh the duration of all Poison effects on the target.
c. Scent of Blood: Charging this power at least halfway on a Bleeding target will spread their affliction to a nearby target and also will refresh the duration of all targets Bleeding.
2. Thrash: This is a maintained attack that will maul away the foe dealing Slashing damage every 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds as well will Snare the target for 3.3 seconds reducing their movement speed by 100%. The damage dealt by this power heals for each stack of Wounds present on the target or if the enemy is affected by Deep Wound (from a fully charged Eviscerate), the heal will be stronger. The special advantage of this power are:
a. Fester which will reduce the damage dealt by the foe by 5% per stack of Poison present on them. This debuff lasts for 12 seconds.
b. Vicious which increases the damage and cost of the power and gain additional bonus damage the more you maintain it if you are above half health, but no longer heals if you are above half health. If you drop below half, damage bonuses are removed and the healing effect returns. Costs 3 advantange points.
c. Open Wound which will apply the same named debuff to the target. Open Wound has a 25% chance to apply stacks of Bleed, dealing Slashing damage over time once every second for 16 seconds up to 5 stacks. This advantage is a type of Wound effect.
Level 35 - Masterful Dodge OR Intensity: This is the final choice between two powers for this Archetype.
1. Masterful Dodge:This power is an Active Defense which will increase our Dodge and Avoidance ratings as well increase our resistance versus damage over time effects for 15 seconds. Will place on cooldown any other Active Defense power if we happen to have more than one. The special advantage of this power is called Unchained which will apply a large amount of Break Free damage to any holds or disable affecting our hero, a stack of hold resistance and a stack of knock resistance.
2. Intensity: This power is an Active Offense which will increase all the damage of our attacks as well grant us bonus Strength and Dexterity. Additionally this power will deal Break Free damage to any Holds, Roots or Disable affecting us and has a 15 seconds duration as well a recharge of 90 seconds. Places on cooldown other Active Offense powers if we happen to have more than one. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Fists of Righteous Flame: For the next 12 seconds, we have a 50% chance for every hit to apply the Chi Flame to the enemies. This chance can change based on the activation time of the attack. Chi Flame deals Dimensional damage over time every 2 seconds and will reduce the foes' resistance versus our Chi Power attacks.
b. Rage of the Beast: This advantage will deal bonus Break Free damage to any holds, roots or disables affecting our hero when this power is activated as well apply 5 stacks of the Charged Up buff. Charged Up increases our travel speeds for a short time.
Level 40 - Eviscerate: This power will deal Slashing damage to a foe and can be tapped or charged. On tap this power will refresh the duration of all stacks of Bleed present on the target scaling now with rank, but on a full charge it will rupture the Bleed stacks and replace them by Deep Wound. This debuff deals heavy Slashing damage based on the number of stacks of Bleed purged, this damage cannot be dodged, ignores Shields and partially the resistance of the target. This power has a special advantage called Messy which will refresh the duration of the Shredded debuff completely.
