Guide Overview
Hello guys and girls, today I bring you a new and updated guide for the Uneleashed Archetype. So what does this hero do? The Unleashed is a brawler archetype that use some powers of the Force and Dual Blades power sets to control the movement of the enemies as well deal devastating Critical Hits. This is one of the twelve base free archetypes
Main Mechanics:
1. Critical Hits: This is the core mechanic of the archetype that will cause our attacks to deal massive bonus damage based on our Critical Hit Chance and Severity.
2. Shredded: This is a Slashing damage resistance debuff that lowers the enemies' resistance to this type of damage by 18% for 15 seconds.
3. Relentless: This is one the two shared energy unlocks for the Martial Arts power sets that will generate energy every time we land a Critical Hit on target affected by the previously described debuff.
4. Shield Effects: Eye of the Storm and Field Surge can place damage absorption shields that will substract incoming damage of the foes attacks before reaching our HP.
5. Knock Effects: Force Snap and Force Eruption can knock enemies either to us or send them flying around the battle field.
Special Note: You can customize the weapon(s) of this hero in the Tailors around the world to match your character designs.

Power Explanation
Level 1 - Rain of Steel: This is our energy builder power that doesn't need to be ranked up in order to generate energy for us so I recommend leaving it at rank 1 and is considered an area of effect attack. The special advantage of this power is called Grinning Ghost which will grant a 10% chance per strike to gain a stack of the Focus buff, that increases our melee damage and ranged damage by certain percentages scaling with our Dexterity stat. Additionally if we are affected by a Martial Arts form power, we only gain an additional stack of this buff, but if we aren't affected by a Form we only gain a stack that will vanish after 20 seconds.
Level 1 - Blade Tempest: This is our combo power that will deal damage to foes in a 200/200/200 degree cone within 10ft and the final hit of this attack will apply the Shredded debuff to all targets surviving. The special advantage of this power is called Crashing Crescendo which will give all hits of this power a stackable Critical Hit Chance buff of +2.5%. Successfully landing a Critical Hit will remove the buff resetting the amount of this buff to zero.
Level 6 - Form of the Tempest: This is our toggle form that will grant us stacks of Focus which increases the melee damage of our hero by a large amount and ranged damage for a lesser amount everytime we land a Critical Hit. We can gain a stack of this form once every 4 seconds, stacks up to 8 times and the damage bonus of this form scales with our Dexterity stat. Also increases our energy costs by 10%.
Level 8 - Way of the Warrior: This is our Slotted Passive power that will increase all our melee and Bleed damage by a large amount and all other damage by a lesser amount. Way of the Warrior will generate energy whenever an enemy dodges on of our attacks, this energy return scales with our Strength and Recovery stats, as well this power grants us a boost to our dodge chance.
Level 11 - Force Snap OR Strike Down: This is our first choice between two powers for this archetype.
1. Force Snap: This power will deal a moderate amount of Crushing damage and pull towards our hero the target within 50ft if they are knock prone and this effect won't affect Super Villains or higher ranked targets. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Entropic Collapse: This advantage will cause foes surrounding our main target to be Knocked down. Costs 1 advantage point
b. Recharge: Which will apply the Restoration self heal over time that will heal us for a small amount every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. If our health is below 20% this heal effect will be stronger on the first pulse as well the following heal pulses. Activates a shared cooldown with similar advantages of 4 seconds.
2. Strike Down: This is a movement power that will close quarters with our target dealing Slashing damage performing a dual slash with our weapon. This abilitty doesn't have any special advantages besides Nailed to Ground, Break Through, Accelerated Metabolism and Challenge! - the pack of advantages that are the most common ones present on lunge typed powers.
Level 14 - Force Eruption OR Eye of the Storm: This is the second choice between two powers for this archetype.
1. Force Eruption: This power will deal Crushing damage to all targets within a 10ft sphere and a maximum of 5 targets. If charged for at least 50% the targets will be Knocked back (knock distance is based on Ego given this is a ranged power) and has the following special advantages:
a. Gravitational Polarity which applies a Power Field Rune in place of its old effect, which restores energy over time. Scales with Recovery.
b. Field Expulsion: If you are affected by a direct Shield effect, removes it and shields nearby allies. Scales additionally based on the rank of Protection Field power. Costs 3 advantage points.
2. Eye of the Storm: This power will deal Slashing damage to foes within a 10ft spehere and a maximum of 5 targets. While this power is maintained it will apply an increasing damage absorption shield that will reduce incoming damage as well deal a certain amount of damage that will decrease over time while the strength of the shield will increase. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Blade Beyond the Veil: This advntage causes Eye of the Storm to deal damage to foes attacking our hero in melee range for the duration. This damage effect cannot benefit from any damage modifiers like our super stats or others, cannot be dodged and cannot score a Critical Hit.
b. Cut to Shreds: This advantage will give each hit of this power a 10% chance to apply the Shredded debuff to the enemies and fully maintaining Eye of the Storm will raise this chance to 100%. Shredded is a type of Wound effect.
Level 17 - Bountiful Chi Resurgence OR Mind Wipe: This is the third choice between two powers for this archetype.
1. Bountiful Chi Resurgence: This power is a self heal over time ability, considered a Chi Energy effect for interactions with the Unarmed Martial Arts powers, which will heal us once every 2 seconds for 16 seconds and lowers our damage by 10% while active. The special advantages of this power are the following:
a. Resurgent Reiki: This advantage will grant us more healing ticks everytime we dodge an attack while this power is active. This effect can happen once every 0.5 seconds.
b. Gifts of the Storm: Grants 20% of any non-minor or over-time heal to nearby allies while this power is active even if your health is full. This effect can occur once every 2 seconds.
2. Mind Wipe: This power will erase the Threat generated by our attacks on single foe and place our hero in Stelth for 3/4/5 seconds depending of the rank of this power. The special advantage of this power is called Free Your Mind! which will help allies release them from hold effects such as Paralyzes by dealing Break Free damage to those Crowd Control effects.
Level 21 - Dragon's Wrath: This power can be charged to deal a large amount of Slashing damage to a single target and Dragon's Wrath will ignore 50% of the target's damage resistances including blocks. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Tiger's Courage: This advantage increases the base damage of this power by a maximum of 30% depending of our current maximum Critical Hit Chance.
b. Dragon Rush: This advantage will grant us energy over time depending of the amount of stacks of Focus from our Form power, this energy return scales with our Dexterity stat. Additionally Dragon Rush will reduce the energy cost of all melee attacks by 15%. Costs 3 advantage points.
Level 25 - Force Shield: This is our block replacer power that can be maintained to reduce incoming damage from foes' attacks. The feature of this block power is that generates more energy from incoming attacks. Force Shield will generate energy based on the damage taken and our Recovery stat. This power has a special advantage called Force Sheathe which will apply a lingering block effect for 8 seconds and will also generate energy from incoming attacks, however this one cost 3 advantage points.
Level 30 - Relentless: This power is our energy unlock that will generate energy over time if we land a Critical Hit on a foe affected by a Wound effect. The energy return of this power scales with our Recovery and Endurance stats.
Level 35 - Intensity OR Field Surge: This is the fourth choice between two powers for this archetype.
a. Intensity: This power is an Active Offense which will increase all the damage of our attacks as well grant us bonus Strength and Dexterity. Additionally this power will deal Break Free damage to any Holds, Roots or Disable affecting us and has a 15 seconds duration as well a recharge of 90 seconds. Places on cooldown other Active Offense powers if we happen to have more than one. This power has the following special advantages:
a. Fists of Righteous Flame: For the next 12 seconds, we have a 50% chance for every hit to apply the Chi Flame to the enemies. This chance can change based on the activation time of the attack. Chi Flame deals Dimensional damage over time every 2 seconds and will reduce the foes' resistance versus our Chi Power attacks.
b. Rage of the Beast: This advantage will deal bonus Break Free damage to any holds, roots or disables affecting our hero when this power is activated as well apply 5 stacks of the Charged Up buff. Charged Up increases our travel speeds for a short time.
2. Field Surge: This power is considered an Active Defense which will repair damage dealt to the power called Personal Force Field as well grant our hero an additional force field which is a damage absorption shield that will mitigate incoming damage for a maximum duration and this power lasts for 15 seconds. With the recent review of the Force powerset, this power blocks incoming damage as if we are blocking and takes into account our hero's resistances. The special advantage of this power is called Unchained which will apply a large amount of Break Free damage to any holds or disable affecting our hero, a stack of hold resistance and a stack of knock resistance.
Level 40 - Containment Field OR Force Geyser: This is the final choice between two powers for this archetype:
1. Contaiment Field: This power will trap an enemy inside a bubble preventing them from doing anything for 10 seconds. The downside of this power is that it will lower by 50% the damage dealt to enemies to make the hold effect harder to break. Against immune targets, it will place a Power Shield, which is an effect that will return 2.5% of our energy pool each time the enemy is hit. The special advantage of this power is called Shield Dispersal which will place the enemy and up to 4 enemies in a Power Shield if fully charged.
2. Force Geyser: This power will make our hero snap their fingers and knock up a single enemy within a distance of 100ft. The special advantages of this power are the following:
a. Hard Landing which will snare the target reducing their movement speed by 100% for 16 seconds.
b. Bruiser which will refresh the duration of the Demolish debuff on the target, however this archetype works with Shredded so this advantage is not useful for it.
c. Entropy Field: which will place a Power Shield on the target and nearby enemies.
