I think the game lacks a "free-camera"... or I just can't find it.
I'd love to take some nice pictures of my characters in-game.. but how the field of view works, if I wanna get close to my character, it makes it so I can't take pictures of all my body. :c
Also, what places in-game are people's favorites for taking pictures?
Right now I really enjoy inside the UNTIL building, near the submarine.

Using Print Screen actually takes screen shots. It stores the pictures in the same folder as your saved costumes. [Path]/Cryptic Studio/Champions Online/Live/Screenshots.

(though I knew that one already hehe). I guess my post should ask how do players go about getting nice angles and such for their character since there is no free-camera option. Free-camera means that the camera moves freely around with no restraints, unlike the basic zoom in and out feature which seems to focus on the character's head as you zoom in and out as its focal point.

Another trick to make nice screenshots is to use the /renderscale X command, where X is a decimal value (0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and beyond). Default is 1.0. What this does is it actually causes the game to be rendered at your current game resolution * X. So if you play 640x480 (not that anyone does, but just as an example) it will actually render the game at 1280x960, and then shrink it down. The result is a much higher quality display, especially with regards to jaggies. If you take a screenshot, it will take it at that actual resolution, and then you can shrink it down to the size you want in an image editor like IrfanView. You do have to be careful with this command though. It will tremendously increase the workload on your system because the game's being rendered at a much higher resolution. It can crash your game if you set it higher than your hardware can handle. So if you don't have a powerful system, I'd advise against using it above 1.5. If you have a particularly weak system, I wouldn't even set it above 1.0. If you really want to get specific angles and combat poses and such, but can't because of the fickle camera, you can try the demo editor. This will let you record a sequence of events in the game and then replay them (offline) with the ability to manipulate the camera freely, as well as pause and slow down the action for that perfect shot. If you're interested in the demo editor, Brou has an informative thread on it here: forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=100884

Okay, I don't think you guys aren't getting the question. You jump a bit too far on the technology track. I could be wrong but I think hollthulhu wants to be able to turn the toon around. I found out how to do this by accident. Left mouse button... Click it on any open space on the screen. You know, avoid clicking an object. Okay, now hold it down and drag. Left, right, up, down, which ever way you want to go. It's a pain in the butt, but it's the only way I know how to get my toon to face the camera to grab a SC. I got a few of my hero with the moon up behind him with the aurora borealis. It makes a cool desk top. I cannot speak for other, but it took ME a lot of practice. Good luck. btw - In case you did not know this... Home key resets the toon's view back to the forward view (back of the head for you). End key brings it further back. And if you did know this last bit, I'm pretty sure one noob or another just learned a little something. I keep finding tidbits here and there I did not know before. A case of noob leading the noob? Could be.
