I haven't looked at it closely, but there's a new Archetype shown on the PTS, The Predator. Below is the default design and its powers list, to give you an idea of what to expect. Please note, there are a number of new powers. Even beyond that, the existing powers shown here seem to have been updated to have new effects and interactions. I haven't studied it yet. At 1st glance, it looks like another AT, The Savage. However, upon closer examination, please note it is a Melee DPS, and lacks the Regeneration and Devour Essence that give The Savage its quite respectable survivability. That said, the new content (i.e. the revamped Cosmic Bosses) is so difficult even those powers are not enough, so it might not be that big a detriment. What is interesting is looking at its mix of powers. Most of its attacks are from the Bestial set, but its Passive is Pestilence, something meant for the Infernal set and Toxic damage. There ARE new interactions between the powers, which I haven't had time to look into yet, so this seems very, very interesting indeed. I do not know if this will be a Free For All AT or a cash shop Premium AT.

Bite and Thrash have heals based on the number of bleeds so it has some self healing ability. If Bite/Thrash are the only survival utility of this new AT, we could sadly say that is another fail AT. I played a little with my savage minutes ago (I know the new event is recommended for a team of 3 ) but after stopping at respawn point for the third time in less than 20 seconds I can tell you that Bite, Regeneration or DE will not save you against the new event (or content or game direction overall) - or you kill whatever's in front of you in less that 2 seconds or you'll be dead - I couldn't charge a single Bite before hit respawn point. Against old contente like Destroids it is meaningless, even more with Regeneration kick in. Oh well, more tests need.

Without modifying my Savage at all because i just couldn't be bothered i managed to solo this event. the trick was to play very carefully pulling the portal defenders around corners to keep the knocking to a minimum and if necessary to just suicide run the portal first to keep infinite spawns from being an issue.
now i need to play with those Hots

Just some notes I was sending to Criswolf for the Savage AT, so I copied them here. It repeats a little of what you said and was written before I read these posts:
Specialisations
Dexterity, Vindicator, Brawler in that order
Thrash and Bite
Thrash is new, Bite is old, but modified with a heal effect over a full charge. Both moves give healing based on stacks of Bleed on an enemy. Thrash is a funny little animation, where the character leans forward as if biting, the thrashes his arms at the enemy like he's rapidly clawing. The result is he looks like a kid pretending to be a monster.
I'll have to review the numbers and field test, but IMHO Thrash and Bite for the Predator will be like Life Drain and Summon Shadows for the Void. By that, I mean Thrash is the more reliable and immediate heal effect, whereas Bite may seem to have larger healing numbers in the lab but be impractical in practice.
Eviscerate
It's very interesting. The Predator stabs his hand forward as if grabbing the opponent's liver, then yanks it back. It also has a very interesting effect by converting any Bleed effects on him into a new effect, Deep Wound, allowing you to stack Bleed anew (as Bleed usually caps at 5). The result - you can have 2 different Damage Over Time effects, 1st Bleed, then turned into Deep Wound, then more Bleeds. There's going to be some weird DPS min-maxing on this.
EDIT - confirmed the point below about Bleed does not apply after Deep Wound is in effect. More on that below.

3 things,
1st, Frenzy had an advantage for Furious since at least 1 update ago. kinda random and not something i was gonna retcon my Savage to try out.
2nd, according to the release notes Eviscerate's Deep Wounds prevent bleeds from being reapplied while they are on the mob. you can still have 2 dots going because poison is there but you should not be able to have deep wounds AND bleed on the same mob at the same time. If this is not the case then its an oversight/bug in tooltips and/or release notes.
3, kinda want to bind Eviscerate with shouting "KALIMA!!!"

...according to the release notes Eviscerate's Deep Wounds prevent bleeds from being reapplied while they are on the mob. you can still have 2 dots going because poison is there but you should not be able to have deep wounds AND bleed on the same mob at the same time. If this is not the case then its an oversight/bug in tooltips and/or release notes. It turns out that is correct. I don't know if that was a late change or I confused another effect like Poison at the time (which still works obviously), but if you have Deep Wounds, you can't get Bleeds. The damage on Deep Wounds is NOT overwhelming; it is more than ONE stack of Bleed, but not as much as 5; I think it's worth about 3 stacks, but didn't parse it properly. I'm not sure what the logic is, but perhaps it's a quick shortcut. Example - for a lot of slightly tougher but non-boss enemies, it might be faster to just get 1 stack of Bleed, then convert to Deep Wounds, instead of going the full 5 Bleed Stacks. For the Predator AT in practice, however, I think you want to stay with Bleeds for the self-healing from Thrash. Your heals are based on the number of stacks of Bleed. So if you want quick healing, you apply just the 1 stack. If you want full, you want all 5. Then also considering with Eviscerate you need to fully charge the move for the Deep Wounds effect. That said, Eviscerate is still good for... 3, kinda want to bind Eviscerate with shouting "KALIMA!!!" Ya, that'd be freaking awesome. ----- On other aesthetic issues... His Venomous Breath power is red, not the default green, on the Archetype. This is not based on hue changes from being a Gold Member, this is just how the AT is designed. The new Antagonise block power has the character hold both fists in front of his face look a boxer. Thrash continues to look hilarious, like a kid flailing his hands. On a practical issue, I saw how you mentioned the healing on Thrash seems OP above, but in practice for this AT, I found it a little underwhelming. Could be because it's in the Melee DPS role or not having enough Presence or whatever. I think it's a lot less than the self-heals for either the Unleashed AT or the Disciple AT, though. ----- Bottom line - since it's a Premium AT, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable recommending others to buy it like I would with the Void (which you can farm for) or the Savage or the Scourge. If anything, if you want a high DPS AT based on the Supernatural sets due to its awesome Energy Unlock with good survivability, the Scourge is definitely better IMHO. The biggest benefit of these new powers is for Freeforms to play with IMHO, lots of possibilities there.
