I don't really have any favourite comics, since I read everything I can get my hands on, but...
Harley Quinn
She rocks buttocks, so I have the entire series made about her.

I'm reading Transformers but skipping the Bayverse based ones. Occasionally picking up interesting Batman comics from my library (they are quite well stocked for comics/graphic novels) Trying to get a hold of some of the old Knights of the Old Republic stuff but I'm on a tight budget there. Webcomic wise I'm following Looking For Group www.lfgcomic.com/VG cats (when they update) www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=0GU Comics www.gucomics.com/comic/

I subscribe to the Marvel digital comics, which has over 8000 comics scanned. It seems like everything but the most recent stuff. I love NextWave and Great Lakes Avengers. It's really fun to go back and read a whole story line - I sat down one day and read 30 Captain America comics in a row.
There are several series which are good for young kids (mine are age 4 & 6), so far my kids have read from a recent Fantastic Four series (starting in 2005), XMen First Class and Pet Avengers.
They have special links to help you find origin stories, so you can start with the very first Spederman, Daredevil, etc.

I'm mostly a DC hound (read semi-fanboy) and snap up just about anything that even touches the Green Lantern stories. I also have a huge collection of Batman, Justice League, & old DC Showcases (the 1st app of GL (#22) is probably the jewel of my collection). I also have a huge collection of old X-Men and the entire runs of the original X-Factor ('86) and Excalibur ('87). Fables & The Boys, and Welcome to Tranquility are/were also great as was an old Comico series called The Elementals, which was created by Bill Willingham (Fables) back in '84. *looks at his collection of 20 longboxes* I could literally go on for hours. I guess working in a comic book store for a few years had it's advantages.

I'm a Batman fan... No, not one of those, I don't harbor any illusions that Bats could go toe to toe with Supes and win but I also realize that Bats would not go toe to toe with Supes. If he absolutely had to take down Supes, Bats would make sure that HE chose the time place and conditions and would carefully arrange it so that Supes would have no reason to suspect that he was under attack until the attack was over. That is the only way that Bats could take down Supes. BUT... My favorite comic of all time is... Girl Genius. Phil and Kaja Foglio are true masters of the art of storytelling.

The only comic I follow off the web is Hellblazer. I take a look at the stuff my neighbor keeps up with some times (titles from marvel and DC, though mostly various X-men series) but Hellblazer is the only one I still keep tabs on myself. Now, as for comics online I have a pretty hefty assortment of those bookmarked. Way more than I can keep track of day to day or even week to week, but the volume of comics allows for a nice amount of updates for me to go through when I do get around to checking on a particular one. That's pretty nice as most of the ones I follow do a page at a time, which never feels like enough if I'm really interested in it. As for specific ones from my over sized list that might be of interest to people who play CO, there's SideChicks www.graphicsmash.com/comics/sidechicks.phpand Heroes Inc. www.heroes-inc.net/

Win. For those unfamiliar with NextWave, here's a description from its writer, Warren Ellis: "It’s an absolute distillation of the superhero genre. No plot lines, characters, emotions, nothing whatsoever. It’s people posing in the street for no good reason. It is people getting kicked, and then exploding. It is a pure comic book, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. And afterwards, they will explode".

HellBoy BPRD Walking Dead
I only get trade paperbacks. I like sitting down and getting a whole story, whereas comics go by too quick.
Has anyone collected Invincible? This is the only superhero comic I'm interested in paying for. Mostly because it has one very talented writer (Kirkman, who also writes Walking Dead) who isn't afraid to change up the status quo. I'm occasionally interested in Marvel superheros (I grew up with the Xmen in the Clarement days) but I hate all the retconning that goes on. Whenever one writer takes an established character in a bold new direction, it's only a matter of time before a new writer takes over and re-establishes the status quo.
That's why I like Hellboy and BPRD; Mignola isn't about to let a sales manager decide the future of the stories.

Invincible. It's the only comic(trade paperback) I read...and they're the only ones I've ever purchased. Hey! You're the guy I need to talk to then. I really want to collect the series, but I want to skip the first few trade paperbacks. What's the earliest "must-have" point to jump in? eventually I'll get them all if I like it, but I'd like to skip the first few that are just establishing the character.
