Removed Accelerated Metabolism on Experimental Burst Ray in my overview after noticing its redundance while playing through Demonflame on my Freeform Gadgeteer.

My inventor I started last night is lvl 14 now and I'm really enjoying it. I went with Attack Toys and am pleased with my decision. They don't look too cheesy and more importantly they spawn like crazy and do great AoE damage with their missile launchers.
For a beginning inventor, I suggest saving your skill points till lvl 11 and investing them all into Attack Toys. Your blaster damage won't matter much although our AoE attack is decent for mopping up big groups of mobs that our toys have beaten on. I find myself swooping into a group of mobs, getting agro so my pets start kicking ass and I block the entire time until the agro is off me, then cleanup with AoE.

And at 17, you will get Bionic Shielding, and then you won't even have to block all the time. Leveling may be a bit slow for a few levels ahead for you, but once you hit 17, it'll be so much easier. EDIT: Also, I changed a little thing in the detailed description of Sonic Blaster and Refraction of sound: "The two other AoE powers in your arsenal are a bit quirky to use for this purpose (Not to mention that Orbital Cannon doesn't even WORK with them)"Change in bold.

I'm at lvl 17 now, set up a nice alias for use with Bionic Shielding...
Numpad1 "+down1 $$ target_self $$ +PowerTrayExec 4 $$target_clear"
It's nice being able to deal some damage alongside the Attack Toys, instead of constantly blocking!

Ok I'm trying the inventor, got to 12th level dying twice mostly due to trying one mission a bit early for my level and getting in deep. And overall I will say this about the AT its wicked sick.
Come on I maxed out Combat Toys to R3 and its nuts those little cute critters just reproduce alot and devestate the opponent, I walked through the New Purple Reign missions and the only reason Poe was an issue my toys hit him when he has a few henchmen left.
Now I added science healing and shielding devices and its even sicker. My next thing is to boost Nanite Healing up and then can look at future advantages.
And I love my little guys when they pull out little rocket launchers!
I will note the basic weapons are not bad folks I often give my little toys tactical fire from the rear and used properly its as good as most soldiers I've played in some ways to tactics. Plus it gets its own little commandos.

Changed my build to choose Rank 3 in Bionic Shielding rather than the advantage after testing it out a bit with my Gadgeteering freeform.

I've used both bots on two inventors and I found the Munibots at R3 to be better in some ways over Attack Toys! I will note the advantqages. 1. AoE is devestating your Munibots in turrent mode and this can be done in the air have a 100 foot range and excellent damage obliterating anything in the front of them with their usual positions they also get your healing and fire, if using the experimental blaster beam. I used them on every boss and none even got close to hurting them enough to make me worry. This mow down the row ability is devestating if used right. 2. You get right off the bat two of them the Attack Toys! have to build up and go away even with the advantages its not always good. And they are easily replaced so having more is not necessary IMHO. 3. Attack Toys! also offer less control oddly I have them skip sweeping up henchmen and go after a Supervillian when I was not ready bringing down the bad guys on me in a swarm. Munibot in turrent mode are more disciplned I can clean a room, reposition and open up everything on the boss. That can matter in some cases. The only drawbacks are for them half the health they share yours this can be mitigated with Healing Nanites R3 and in turrent mode this is reduced more in health but do more damage. And what do you mean a child Inventor won't use these my other Inventor RED RIDING HOOD wuvs her cute and adorable Munibots they are so precious.

Never said anything about child Inventor, adults can have teddy bears, too Or for some of us with more... robust features be one. But anyway, I found having to toggle the munitions bots just not fitting unless you're zombie camping or similar. While the lv3 bear replication is very good and almost never needing to resummon. just my extra 2 cents.

But ehhh, I just decided to embrace the slower combat pattern that this AT sometimes needs

I rarely overly position either if I can shoot the baddies and my Muni-bots can see the baddies as in move at them I can switch them to turrent mode. I tend to do that once the engage my bots in close get them in a crossfire of death and destruction backed up by my Inventor. Just target the biggest threat first so the bots focus on them. The simple fact is they do crippling damage at past 50 ft. at R3 giving you first strike fire and with an enhanced attack from the Inventor can clean house well. Toggle is your friend with Muni-bots.

How does this AT compare for soloability with something like the void?

How does this AT compare for soloability with something like the void? I definitely think it's comparable, especially considering the Commander tree buffing up your pets. Turtling is a very viable technique, and after you get Bionic Shielding you can start attacking as well, making your survivability even better. So yes, I definitely think it is comparable.

I was just a bit put off by my thoughts it might have lower damage due to the support passive. True?
