Ah yeah, i knew about it quite a while ago, you can buy some real classic games from there, if there's an old one you haven't got anymore and you want to play it again, you're bound to find it on there. I need to go and look on there for the original Carmageddon actually, man i had hours of fun on that game

Oh yeah, been a customer of theirs for a long time now. Have about 45 games from them.

Yep, those games were classic, and this site really does a service by re-coding them onto 64 bits. I found Crusader: no regret there! I have some games of them too.

Anyone get any thing for Windows 8? I was thinking about trying Bard's Tale. Had it years ago, but only played it once because combat seemed super laggy on my old PC. All combat seemed to happen in slow motion. What I'd really like is to know is do those three original Bard's Tale games, that came with the updated game, are also updated to function on Win 8. That would be a real find, for me.

I don't see why they wouldn't run on Windows 8. Compatibility mode on Win8 allows it to run things as far back as Windows XP, and games from GOG have already been updated to run on most of today's systems. It's worth a shot to find out.

Bought about half a dozen of games from GOG that could not miss in my collection. Sad fact: right after I bought Baldur's Gate was the launch of the new edition

I remember when Fallout 3 just came out, this site sold Fallout 1 for free.

I got Fallout 1 and 2 off GOG. And when I signed up, I got a couple of the Ultima games for free. This is probably the best site on the Interbutts for finding older PC games. Cheap prices, big library, and not a speck of DRM to be found anywhere. My ninja hood is off to them for being so badass.

There are some fantastic mods for BG and BG2 that do a lot of what the new edition is supposed to do. The link below is pretty good on that. www.gog.com/news/enhance_the_gameplay_in_your_edition_of_baldurs_gate_from_gogcom

Cause they have the source files? Good point they may have bought the sources considering they are old games.

GOG is first place for wasting money on video games, for me. Considering that I'm not terribly interested with many new titles.
And they have Arcanum, a game that is very hard to find these days.

Lets face it! GOG is the right site for us, old guys who want to remember those sweet times we had. I still play my X-com ufo defense
