Be careful with 3rd party 360 controllers on PC. Some work and are detected automatically by games that detect the 360 controller, but some are detected as regular PC gamepads which defeats the purpose. What does it matter if the game recognizes your pad as a 360 or not? I have a logitech with all it's buttons in the same place as the 360 controller and I've never noticed any problems with it.

It matters because the game(s) autoconfigure(s) 360 controllers. In the case of Champions the game was programmed with a 360 controller in mind so a lot of the keybinding and game interface is done for you. IIRC some of the logitechs had some functionality put in the game as well but some gamepads don't have any. If you see any videos of me playing the game you'll notice that the 360 buttons are showing up on the screen and in the various UI menus. That's why it matters, less hassle setting keybinds and using other programs like Xpadder and JoytoKey to get functionality that comes out of the box.

I've never messed with any third-party apps and I haven't encountered any commands that I couldn't do out-of-the-box with my logitech pad. Yay me for making the right choice!

I love Logitech stuff. Their stuff is usually well supported and when I'm not using my 360 pad I swear by my G13.
