Due to how out of control the Questionite Exchange currently is with the introduction of Lockboxes, I decided it was time to share this with the community. Hopefully more and more people will realize that we need a balance and that WE set that balance, not Cryptic or any outside force (PWE) unless they change the code directly.
First off, a mini guide on how to access the Questionite Exchange:

On your minimap, you'll see a button with a blue Crystal and Store written next to it, the blue Crystal is obviously Questionite. You click on that and it will bring up the store:

The Blue gear you see on this screenshot is Cryptic giving us the finger. That gear is worthless and there's lot of it. You'll want to scroll down until you find the purple gear, and the fun gear which is the one from the armadillo set and power armor.
The Travel Powers are also valuable, you might want to take a look at that, and if you don't own it yet, the Cyberpunk outfit is pretty good too. There's also the Mod packs that people seem to neglect.
Well enough about the store, we want to go to the exchange, bottom left corner of the window you see the button to go to the exchange, click it:

Now we're on the Exchange itself. Notice that by default it throws you in the buy zen tab (1)
Let me explain each of these points:
[1] In this tab you can buy Zen with your Questionite, you have to make sure you're on this tab if that's what you want to do before submitting the offer. Always remember that.
[2] We'll be discussing the Sell Zen tab later.
[3] On this tab you keep track of your posts (offers) and withdrawals, this is very helpful, especially if you make a mistake. Hopefully it will teach you NOT to do it again. I didn't make a screen of this 'cause I don't want to share my history tab
[4] Offer type is self explanatory, you're buying duh.
[5] Price, in this you see how much Q per Z you're offering. I'm offering 124Q per 1Z
[6] Quantity shows how much Zen you can obtain from your offer. I believe there's a max number of Zen per offer (think it maxes out at 5,000Z) and a max number of offers (somewhere between 5-8)
[7] This is the part probably 90% of the people using the Exchange don't understand. What you see here is NOT the real Questionite to Zen rate. This is an OFFER from a Zen seller.
What the first offer says is that the seller is willing to part with 559Z but he is selling each of them at 229Q. If you think that's fair, well you... ok I'll keep my opinion about that to myself.
[8] Zen to buy, you can adjust the Zen qty you want here and the other sections will adjust themselves but you should really work on Questionite per Zen instead and use this one for information. (as in how much zen you should be getting from the offer you're posting.)
[9] This is the most important part for you Q exchanger. This is what gives you "power". In here YOU set the price for your hard earned Questionite. Most of us have an 8,000Q refinement limit per day, so the value of Q for us is higher than say people that can refine 16,000Q a day per character. It's even more valuable to those that have a character limit, say silver members. So the often "thrown at without thinking" statement that Q has no value is moot.
[10] On this part you control how much Questionite you're willing to part. If you want to exchange all of it, then make sure you wrote the right qty on part 9 and then post the number of Q you have here. The exchange will do the math for you.
[11] The Exchange balance, you have points pending here if you made a sale or if you cancelled an offer. This is account wide (that's all I'm going to say, hope you're smart enough to use that)
[12] Personal balance, the part of Q is character based, the part of Zen is account based. What that means is that no matter which character you're using the Zen will always be the same until you part with it. But Questionite is a different thing, you'll have a different Questionite balance per character. It also only refers to the refined Questionite you have on the character, not the ore.
[13] Refined refers to the 8,000Q refinement limit per day we have. It resets every day at 5:00PM Server Time along with a new Daily Questionite mission from Patil on Ren Cen. In the screenshot case I had already refined my 8,000Q for the day.
[14] I've been posting it enough and yelling it I hope you get it by now. You're posting an OFFER. You can flat out accept an offer (no different than a buy now button on Ebay) but the thing is this is a market, both sides get to name their price and both sides gets to choose what's fair and what's not. If you're impulsive and have little time to use that heavy thing on your head (probably a hat) then you're the one to blame for the destruction of the market. As much as I've been blaming Cryptic for breaking the exchange I know I'm wrong since we control the market. They just happen to know how... impulsive their player base is.
But I am still suspicious of Cryptic, the market was unbalanced to begin with, but then it stopped working, servers went down and when they came back up the offers were through the roof. Coincidence? maybe but I have a hard time believing in such thing.
