I'd like to see a multiverse story arc (Maybe even a comic series). Yes, I know about Resistance. Me, personally, I would love a time travel story arch. Perhaps some villain from the future decides to blame our heroes from the current time period for his future time periods failures and begins plucking soldiers/armies/people from history and sends them to fight the Champions and our heroes. The villain from the future, lets call him Timesteer for now, brainwashes all of his armies etc into thinking that they are fighting the enemies from their from time in a locale from their own time even though they might be fighting the citizens and our heroes in the streets of Mill City. CO could even use the Blood Moon Event as a template for such an Event/Mission. And even go so far as to say Timesteer is using the same energy that Takofanes uses, but he is just channeling that energy into his Temporal-Manipulatrix: This is what makes time travel possible. All kinds of armies can pop up in the city to attack it. Pirates, Nazies, Huns, Bigfoots, <--- Bigfeets?, Cowboys, (the non-mechanical, non-ghost version), Aliens, historical soldiers, etc. And in charge of each group will be a major villain from the game with some very different i.e. future powers, who are also looking to get even with the Champions and our heroes. Basically, any villain with a set army of thugs will do, plus some new villains from CO history could be added for historical favor. Some baddies from WW II or the Napoleonic era or a Roman era could be inspiring. Historically costumed Soldiers should be easy with the Costume Creator. If it's made well, and popular enough, it might fill in every third month instead of Blood Moon EVERY month. Or perhaps it could appear just every Blue Moon (which is any month with a second full moon).

I normally don't comment on these, but this idea is so elegantly simple that I wanted to mention it. It's easy to make - they can practically recycle one of the old events and re-skin the enemies with historical costume pieces, like the Spartan armour set, etc. Do that thing where these event mobs are scattered around the city, like these warriors out of time are running amok in Mil City, confused by this jungle of steel and concrete. It's fun to explore - have the good NPCs actually speak Latin, for example, hanging around the fountain in the park, using it as a public bath or something. Then you need to get a translation device from Dr. Silverback or someone to understand what they're saying...UNLESS you can actually read Latin. Even from a business angle - imagine these events are tied in with a costume set. Like when doing a Roman Empire era event, they did a sale for the Spartan costume set. Or a Medieval era event, the Shining Knight costume set. It's like a sales trigger that's not too ridiculous (i.e. cosmic keys to open these lockboxes are just in poor taste IMHO). --- Thus, it's cheap, fun, and has business justification. That means this idea has a chance to happen for CO. If you hadn't done so already, you really should suggest this in the official boards.

Actually, for a Roman era event they would need a Roman styled costume set. C'mon, I know that not everyone is an Ancient history lover, but Spartan set is obviously "Hollywood Greece" styled, not a "Hollywood Roman" one, even for an untrained eye. ;D
